You missed us by about 20 mins MWIA - interesting stuff happened!

Remaining highlights:
- It's official, we _are_ on an island
- second hut yielded 25g
- Spanish dicovered Writing
- big news : We have made contact with Egypt!! Cleopatra was more willing than Isabella to share her dicoveries, we obtained the Wheel and Masonry (and 10 g) in exchange for Alphabet.
- and in the final turn (very next turn after meeting egypt) we discovered Bronze Working

Big question : Would we be willing to trade all our treasury, gpt AND contact to Egypt for Writing from Spain?? We -might- be able to find a slightly better (and I emphasize the -slight- part of that....) deal, but it will still be most of the gold and def Egypt's email

This was a chat stopper because we also need to decide yes or no to that, and either way what to research next. Also we can see the border of another civ just NW of Thor's Hammer, as you can see here :

Why do Vikings always end up on islands? In MZO Boot Camp IV we played as the vikes and were on an island there too.

Trade for writing ASAP if we can get it from Spain. If we can get writing we can start researching map making soon and figure out ways to get off the island while we're still settling it. I'd say the jump over writing is well worth giving up contact with Egypt.

Now we must go for MapMaking....

But there is already a barbarian galley or is it Egyptian. (cannot check from the save). Doesn't that mean that some civ has already discovered MM. So it might be that if we get writing we find out that Spain has MM also.

Big Free had stationed Kloreep on the mtn in the far north hoping that a civ would show up on the desert squares across the channel, and that's exactly what happened! An Egyptian warrior appeared in the NE square, now we get to wait and see if that other square is theirs or another civ's.

Well, I think that now, we definitely need to take out Spain. There Civ is building where we want to have cities with little corruption.
