Sorry, I'm not in chat, but how did we get writing? I thought we had to pay through our nose to get that tech.

FYI - Salamanca is in the spanish city list. It is just similar to an Iroc name iirc.

I only play Iroquois and I can tell you that Salamanca is the Iroquois Capital but looking at the layout of the Spanish Territory, I would say that Salamanca wasn't the Iroquois Capital because if it was, there probably would've been more Iroquois Cities near it unless they're all up north.

Salamanca is the name of an Iroquois city?

I know for sure there is an actual city in Spain named Salamanca, so there is no question of the Iroqs going down.

There are a lot of nice little Spanish coastal cities that should fall quite easily to our hordes of galley-born Berserks!

BTW, once we get off the island, it looks like there are a lot of nice wheat and cattle tiles to the south.

Giving Salamanca to the Iroquois was a mistake from Firaxis. It's already fixed, I think

yes, stopped in 1550 after we finalized the deals and made sure production was going well - then the few remaining need to leave, so I called it a good stop point

At 70 shields a pop along with galleys at 30 shields a pop, in my experience "hordes" and "galley-born Berserks" rarely go hand-in-hand at higher difficulty levels on archipelago maps unless you upgrade archers to berserks or enter your GA with initial Berzerks and use the GA to build more of the suckers.

Just something I figure I'd point out
