	CGN and GWT are at war!!! Support Apolyton, buy Alpha Centauri

I have just been informed by miccofl in chat that GWT has attacked a CGN horseman in neutral territory, sparking a war between GWT and CGN.

I am currently asking miccofl for additional information, assuming he's willing to provide it.

This means that we may get the save later than we had previously hoped and explains why GWT took so d*mn long with the save themselves...

CGN just told me that they figure they'll still turn around the save quickly, but I'd be more than willing to bet they may take a bit longer than normal.

It seems that Turn 121 is more momentous a turn than even we had suspected it would be

Wow... did not expect this to happen. Looks like Turn 121 is the most important in the whole game. This is really quite good though. Now it would be just plain stupid to align with GCA. And now everyone will be at war so no one can build like crazy

this is totally idiotic.

GWT attacked one stupid horseman. Either that is the most silly opening for any war ever, or CGN is just plain bullshitting us trying to stir up some self-righteous crap to justify their own agression.

Knowing miccofl, I am inclined to believe the latter.

At the same time I doubt GWT would be dumb enough to start a war that way, I seriously question whether anyone would want to take the diplomatic risk of suggesting a war is in progress when/if they are lying. It wouldn't be hard at all for GWT to prove them false.

When you piss off GWT, they will declare war on you. Lux is living (or dead, perhaps ) proof of that.

It has already been confirmed, I believe. Someone mentioned that we know because we have an embassy with GWT.

I really don't think they care that much about us; either of them could probably tear us apart if we were on the same landmass (or at least make a very good go at it) and the point is: we're NOT. I get a little frustrated with all this "Let's screw with their war" talk because at best all we can do right now (and for a very long time to come) is screw around with their technological balance to one another.

Whether or not what caused the war was genuinely what we heard, the war itself is probably far more important than anything having to do with us. We're the big dog on the continent, guys, but still a small fry overall. Let's not forget ourselves.
