I would, once again, want to repeat that I by no means meant to demand anything of our Consuls - having been one of them, I very well know what it takes to be one and how much they have to attend to. Especially when nye is occupied with unfortunate RL events and MWIA handicapped by his location...
I was just pointing out the things that make it difficult to put together a full turn report...
To respond to those that suggest dropping this or that... I am torn on the issue. Basically, the way the reports work at this moment is that if you load the save and do everything as decribed in the turn report, you get EXACTLY how the game looks at the end of our turn and you can use it to check (for improvements to) the official plans - if you care to, of course... Once I omit the WF assignments... or worker jobs... or "simple" unit moves... or whatever else, you will mostly have to give up and trust in those that HAVE this kind of information that they will plan for the best. The purpose of the turn reports is to make everybody able to participate instead of just passively watch.
Perhaps very little people actually use the reports for this purpose... perhaps nobody...? But still, there is the possibility, which is why I still keep doing them. Once I quit, there will be no reports at all, as I consider "abbreviated" reports worthless (you can simply read through the turn thread to get the "feel", you do not need any report for that).
That said, I will admit that at times, turn reports may lag behind - defying their very purpose. But you know how RL works... sometimes I just do not have that damn hour or two to put everything together.

I usually use it for the map, and for occasionally just checking out one or two things.
However, the truth is that I don't use it THAT often to consider it "vital". I guess perhaps the ministers and consuls find the information indispensable but I'm so sure how much regular posters do.
Frankly, I think we should be honest about this, if it's really worth for such a valuable member like Vondrack to be spending 2 hours of his time doing this. As our army and cities grow, our reports will grow bigger and bigger, perhaps it was good at first but might represent too much an investment of time to be worth it by now.
And I would much rather see vond more active in the chats and in the discussions than doing this, just like the good ol' days (fyi, vondrack was the first person I had a conversation with when I started joining the chats, I still have that logged, his presence is truly missed )

Well, it's a bit sad to announce this, but I feel I have to do so... The hectic pre-Christmas time strapped me of so much time that I had to prioritize a lot, postponing, besides other things, turn reports "for later". I honestly believed I would do them once Christmas and the end of the year would be over. Unfortunately, many things that were supposed to be finished in 2003, sorta spilt over to 2004... and today, I have finally realized and admitted I am not going to make it.
I've finally gotten to having some extra free time again, but with the PtWDG speeding up rapidly after the end of The Great Bobian War, new business projects and some major things happening in my RL, I no longer see myself able to catch up and continue doing the turn reports as I used to until last Christmas.
Besides, the turn "logs" posted by the Consuls have gotten so detailed and well structured over the time, that most of what I'd be doing would be just combing them a wee bit, reformatting, and doing different pictures. It seems to me that our members are able to keep up using the consuls' reports instead of my ones quite well.
So - my apologies, but the turn report thread is not going to receive any new additions unless someone else decides to take over (in which case I am ready to provide all my tools, templates, and expertise to make it as easy as possible for him/her).
Thank you for your understanding.
