This was years ago and I've forgotten all the players involved - but anyway: Lee Clark; Andy Cole; and others (whom I forget) got caught doing Coke. Keegan went ballistic at them and told them they were finished as Newcastle players.

A few weeks after I heard this Cole was transferred and Clark never really played that much under Keegan again (although TSM played him and then sold him to the Mackems - a death worse than fate, that).

I suppose we ought to be careful. Forums have been closed all over the net because of libel concerns. Presumably, that is because Britain has stiffer libel laws than elsewhere (wasn't there a thread on this?).

I kind of think that sucks. Sure they can sue newspaper sites and those who are deliberately attempting to defame, but why a bunch of fans speculating on a BBS? After all they can't stop us from talking about it over a pint at the local, and that is what most of these forums are like.

There have been a spate of these stories lately against British celebrities. Most have proved to be wholly fabricated, and in some cases the accuser has been convicted of wasting police time.
