A most horrible event has occured! Our mapping scout rover was destroyed by strange worm-like creatures! It was destroyed by an auxillary scout patrol, and dissection of the remaining creatures have been scheduled. We have heard faint radio signals, apparentally emanating from some 'Gaian' faction. Is this, perhaps, one of my former colleagues?

Net Warrior personal log MY 2135:

So, the Gaians have survived planet fall and are adapting well to Chiron. Sadly, it seems Lady Dierdre may not have been so lucky since Lord Chip now leads the faction.

Their identification of this crimson flora as xenofungus has been most helpful to our researchers. Now that the Gaians have radio receivers, how far off can commlink between our two factions be? Time will tell.

IC:

The 'mind worms', as we have taken to calling the monstrosities that crawl out of the fungus, have claimed 2 more lives! However, we have found two things that may help combat this threat:

1. A data pod from the unity containing information on Recycling and basic biogenetics.
2. An odd, ancient building that helps the productivity of the land it is on, that we had at first thought to be a UNITY pod.

We have heard strange, fragmented radio signals from something called "GNN"... could it be fellow survivors?

Glad you are enjoying the "broadcasts".

On the first couple of recordings, it took a while to figure out what I wanted to do and how to do it. Now, the time is principally in figuring out what I want to say. At the beginning of the game, (a) I'm limited in what I can say and (b) everyone pretty much knows what is going to happen to the Gaians and in what order it is going to happen, so I have been able to plan and record those in advance.

So far, the Corps of Engineers and Greenwar Interfactional litigation is just filler, but who knows? I may be able to weave it into the game somehow.
