	Time Warp (Turn Thread) Support Apolyton, buy Galactic Civilizations

This is the turn thread for the Time Warp PBEM.

Game settings:
-SMAC v5.0
-Accelerated start, M.Y. 2131
-Standard planet, average everything
-All victory conditions on
-Do or die
-No Unity survey
-No random events
-Directed research
-Transcend difficulty
-No tweaks to the AI, but all Secret Projects are set to 'not built' (there is probably a predesigned *Sea Pod among the default units having NO prerequisite technology)

Currently, the players have not ageed upon a set of rules.

IMPORTANT: Make sure you have SMAC version 5.0 installed (Win2000/XP Compatibility patch).

PS: I've never installed any patches. My CD-ROM says 17300-CD1 v1.0. Can you give me a list of patches I'll need and where to find them?

It is very important that you all have the v5.0 patch installed -- even if you are not using Win2000 or WinXP (unless playing the Mac version). I'm not sure if you have to upgrade to version 4.0 first, though. Here are some useful links:

Phew, that's a relief; I just installed the compatability patch a couple of days ago, I didn't know it was v5.0

I'm game for any set of rules; oh, and I looked at the TOP thread, Rubin. ^^;

We have just awoken from hypersleep to a crisis of sorts. Evidently, a reactor malfunction has damaged the Unity fusion core, and there is not enough time to fix it before Planetfall. I shall direct my most loyal students to follow me to one of the seven colony pods, and advise the other officers to do the same...

Note: The game crashed, so I had to reload the save file ^^;

Chairman's Log: It has been a harrowing 31 years on Chiron, or Planet as many of my people have come to call it. I find it rather uselessly generic, but who can say what drives people's thoughts regarding naming?

In any case, we have begun investigations into the strange mats of pink substance scattered around the globe, or at least the area we have landed in and built 2 more bases in. Hopefully, we will discover whether it is beneficial or harmful soon... I do not relish the thought of making a mistake in this matter...

Finally, we have also begun to create a consolidated Command Center, also known as the 'Command Nexus'. Hopefully, this will help the training of new troops...

hey jmarsh you sent me the wrong turn. the one u sent me was meant for the hive. would it be possible if u could zip the saved file for easier emailing. sorry for the absence. my internet connection has been proving to be most unreliable.

What? I opened it myself and it said that it was for the University... nevertheless, I shall zip it and resend, hopefully the RIGHT one, later today, for now I am at school ^^;

marcovalente has not yet received the correct turn (it was the unplayed Hive turn). No errors, just the wrong save-file.

JMarshFox: Please make sure that you send the correct turn. Do a re-play if you have to. I've also send you an e-mail and a PM.

M.Y. 2131 has drawn to an end. The initiative now rests with The Gaians.
The year closed with yet another incident! A reliable source reports that Admiral Marco engaged in "2 extra save/loads". A committee of U. N. computer experts is looking into this situation. I am awaiting their findings.
