Look at all of that.... there's so much to say.

Firstly, their land is SO GOOD!

Second, Eluciduim was razed by GCA this last turn.

That's a ton of grasssland, would love to see the ancient shots, was that forested or jungled at all? I doubt it, as there are forests here and there.
Questionable, esp. compared to our starts (I thought they were balanced?)

I counted maybe 12 razings on the other continent. Slash and burn routine apparently, good to know they gained mostly open space and not population through their wars, that will help us out a lot I think.



Was the road from the former Elucidium cut as well as the city burned? (Insert Trip joke here)

Looks like they're going to fortify all in their top 2 cities. Good thing we have some cats in the area, going to be a bruising battle.

Based on the gathered evidence, it's fairly clear the starts were not balanced. But, we just have to continue showing that we were up to the challenge

First, Trip, don't look now, but GCA's now contending for the title of "Biggest Act of Self-Annihilation in a Multiplayer Demogame". On another note, this somewhat solves the issue of culture-flips...

Second, can someone break Mongoose's arm or something? You know, for not balancing out the starts and all. Seriously, CGN (and apparently, Firaxis) get handed freaking Shangri-La and we (and CDG) get stuck in this puny, festering hell-hole?

We need to break something on Mongoose alright, but not his arm. Balanced? In what way? He managed to balance the booze bottle he was chugging from when he saw this map on his friggin flat head?

We need to cut of their supply roads to the cities we are attacking, or they'll keep putting new units into them. I hate when people do that, it can stop a good invasion.

I don't think Mongoose claimed the map was balanced. He just maked sure that everyone had an ok starting position. And everyone DID have that imo. Noone started of on a tiny desert island at least.

I will be very surprised if we can win this game, but I think we have a fair chance of beeing 2nd. Silver is ok too.

No it wasn't. It was abandoned by them.

Please include city names on the map -- it'll make discussions about these lands easier.

CGN has quite a wide city spacing.

Hey, if I participated more, I would have said it more often. I think I asked about cats in the odd thread or two. not that I can remember that too well.

Luckily for us they couldn't pillage a jungle road, then the cats would be useless for some time.

Bear with me people, I'm just catching up here.

My first thought is HOLY **** did our start spot suck! Great job at somehow scratching and clawing our way up out of that mess! Thank goodness we're industrious.

Some of the overseas civs got truely wonderful land.

Having said that, jungle ends up being tasty grassland once you let those industrious workers chew on it for a while And we do have those two nice long rivers.

Wow, there's a lot to digest.
