	Demo worth downloading? Support Apolyton, buy Galactic Civilizations

While I'm finding the best place to buy GalCiv in Oz, is the demo at some 58 GB worth the download?

I'm just wondering how they could produce a 58 GB demo from a 400 MB game.

Were that true, I think I'd rather play the demo, than the full game. With that size, the demo has to have extra features

I'd just come from a long Civ2 SP game trying to apply all the new insights into strategy

I haven't even got that much hard disk space!

I've been impressed by the positive raves on this forum cf the controversy surrounding Civ3 and RoN.

58 *MB* could just about be managed on my slow dialup

No response from my query on the sticky thread on where to get GalCiv. To repeat the question here:

Can't you order from Amazon like the rest of us fools?

Or order it direct from the website. You can DL it or order a disk there.

Personally I'd check some of the software portals, like gogamer or newegg.

Or you could check ebay, I prolly need to put my copy up there while it is still worth something.

If you're going to get the demo remember to delete a couple of the races via the start-up menu. I found that in the tiny galaxy you're given in the demo having 6 major races cramps the board too much.
