Today's turn took a long time - 3 hours. That's starting to get as long as the SPDG chats. Largely due to the uncertainties of the war, we cannot easily maintain this length of time again, especially at this time of day (evening/night for the US) so what shall happen from now on is that chats and play will not be delayed be so long again to allow everyone to attend. You are more than welcome to attend, but the Consuls need to play the turn when it is arrived and as soon as they are ready, and then get it on its way.

Cheers,
WIA.

Lose 30 kilos (of popups)

Yes, I agree that this is the way to go. For the first turn of the war it was understandable to wait around for people to show up and make arrangements to be there. That is no longer the case since it is not reasonable to expect the Consuls or the Ministers to devote their lives to this game.

That's fair. We can't afford to delay the turn upwards of a day at a time per turn for this war. I think after everyone has seen the first 2 turns, they'll be more than confident in the ability of our Consuls to play the turn during these times of war.

Of course, everyone is still welcome to hang out in the channel. The more, the marrier so to speak!

Yes, the main concern is the delaying of the game, for which we are docked hours on the turnclock.

Returning to the system whereby we play the save when it arrives (where possible) would indeed be preferable. If we have to delay because Trip has things to change, then we delay.

I agree. The crucial first few turns of this war have already been played. If we take two days to play every turn of this war it will eat up everything we have.
