Do we want to have a set of minimum conditions for our 1st system and/or surrounding stars and have the President restart until we get something that meets the minimum conditions?

Or we can just accept what comes up first?

Or have the president restart until a good enough start that is satisfying enough in his view that comes up?

For me, I would like to have at least 1-2 (or more ) other planets (preferably non-toxic) in our system and have at least 3 stars within range.

I've never felt the need to restart, but I leave it all to the discretion of our dictator in chief since we aren't playing a super production race.

I don't know how they plan on doing things, I would think the bossman could just start one up. We already have all the settings (I think).

Yeah I know I cheat that way - but since that is the only cheating I do in the game (oddly enough I regard the omniscience trait as a cheat) I don't feel so bad - besides it isn't as though I keep cycling through restarts until I get an ultra rich or a gaia or terran planet in my starting system...

So we're playing a superrace (with every cheap MoO2 pick) on impossible level...

You know, sometimes it's more enjoyable to play a run-of-the-mill race on Hard, largest mapsize, prewarp

Given that we're on Impossible level, mapsize is going to make a HUGE difference. What is it?

I suspect they disabled some functions to save band width. If I select last post icon, I get an error msg. If I select the whole thread, I still get the msg, but the page does come up.

You have to pick a page to go to. Then when your in the thread use the page selector to go to the last available page

It been like this for several days now, and I am afraid it may stay like this for awhile.

Rumor has it they couldn't pay their graphics fee and they were reposessed by Lending Tree...............

I had tried to used the drop down page selector when in a thread to go to a given page and got errors as well.
I have had to use the page number (1 2 3 >>>) and that will work.
No downloads for me either. Is there some way to get this to behave. I see some have been able to DL Harry's game.

No, some of that at least was me trying to download the game - all I got was machine code language...

I used the save target as option and it DL as HTML. I renamed it to save1.gam, but it was invalid when I tried to start the game. I then renamed it to zip and tried to unzip, but it was not compressed. So I am no where for now.
