Firaxis can join any team except GCA. Since all teams except GCA have contact with CGN.

CDG can join any team. Since Apolyton has contact with all teams

GCA can join any team except GWT and CGN (oops, a little early on that one!)

This is of course providing that the teams want to accept them.

None at all as far as was discussed. It would be pointless to allows someone to join a team then tell them to keep quiet without letting them offer opinions that would no doubt be influenced by past knowledge.

Once someone becomes a member of another team, they can sing like a bird.

I have to admit, i'd love to know more about the politics (partciularly ancient) of the other continent. More for my own curosity than any real use it'd have in our decisions.

There's a problem with admitting Astrologix...

Due to the requirements of the poll, once we accept him GCA will know that we have contact with the other continent. Sure, it'll only be a surprise for the first few turns, but we'll definitely be giving away the fact that we have contact with CGN/GWT.

I don't really think it's a problem. Sure we want to win this, but we're also here to have fun. Denying someone entry onto the team just to keep a tiny tidbit of info away from another team isn't really in the spirit of having fun. My opinion is go ahead and authorize him now.

I don't think we should deny him entry, I just think if we are to admit him to the team we should be sure of admitting him secretly... just give him access and don't have him or anyone else announce that fact.

How will they know he has been accepted to our team? Will they even know who he is?

Thing is - he wants to join and has joined the civgroup, but is still awaiting authorisation from Beta. There is no way to tell someone has been authorised or not as long as we don't post it in the public thread. Thus, if we let him in and tell him ONLY via PM, no-one is any the wiser.

Reading the public "join us" thread, you would see we were waiting the UN poll before authorising him. Well, let's authorise him and not make that public knowledge. Thus, as far as GCA or any other team is concerned, astro is still awaiting authorisation.
