SOTHB dose not sound very usefull (I am asuming someone already got the freebie tec) so that leaves Fundamentalism and Trance as the only rewards. We cant use Fundamentalism and we dont seem to be up against hords of native life forms. The only other use might be for trading, but again I think it will have a low value in trade.

The branch off tecnologies of Nural Grafting and Centauir empathy dont seem that important either as the Empath Guild is unavalible and Grafting is far away.

I would go with Ethical Calculus to get Childrens Creeches and democracy. The creeches will help with growth and at some point in the future we could use Democracy. But will need to stay Frontier inorder for Miriam to even speak to us.

If we succesfully cultivate a treaty with Miriam and exchange for all the tecs she can offer us then we will have 2 choices. Additional invesment in Miriam to get here to fight along side us OR go democratic and watch the relationship wither and die.

In either case we should wait untill we have extracted the maximum amount of tec from her before making the desision.

PUT indeed already has SotHB, so not much use in researching that ourselves.

Personally I would vote to choose NonlMath right now. After we hopefully traded it with Miriam, I would switch research to EthCalc. Hopefully we'll be able to steal that from PEACE soon, or if not trade it with PUT or the Drones. When we have EthCalc, there will probably be other tech choice available besides the four we have now.

Non Math then Eth Calc. We can trade for SoHB for less than Eth Calc, as it is a less useful tech IMHO.
