	Do You Ever Drink Alone--- Suffering from ads?

I have tried to avoid it since I got out of the habit of drinking alone after becky died. But last night I said what the hell and started again. Tonight I started to but ran out of alochol

So do you?

Hardly ever, the amount I drink (alone) at home isn't enough to get to you for the evening. I'm a social drinker, if I enter a cafe I will order a beer and hardly ever a coke (until I drank enough that is )

I do, normally I just drink beer and watch the tube or surf the net though. I will also have wine with my dinner sometimes even when alone but since I have roommates I'm almost never alone.

I save the heavy drinking for when I'm with friends. I used to get drunk and post here at poly on a regular bases but that loses it's a appeal after a while.

I quite enjoy drinking alone - either at home or in bars - but there are some things to bear in mind.

Firstly, I'm a happy drunk and can quite happily prop up a stool and while away the hours daydreaming over a few drinks - one of my favorite pastimes.

Secondly, I'm not disposed to become an alcoholic - I never "need" a drink and can go days or weeks without having any drinks. I think there's definitely something genetic about alcoholism cos I don't seem to have the gene for it.

Thirdly, I don't get much chance to do this anymore because of family commitments. But when I'm travelling, you'll always find me sitting quietly in a corner of a pub or bar nursing my drink and watching the world go by

But, if you aren't like me, I wouldn't recommend drinking alone.

I almost never drink alone.

I will have a stiff drink if I need to get a good nights sleep, but even then I rarely resort to alchohol.

Truth is, alcohol has a long shelf life in my home. I just don't feel the need to indulge very often.

I drink alone a lot. Right now I could do with a couple of litres of absolut vodka. Getting thrown out of school for killing someone whilst in a drunken stupor seems strangely attractive atm.....

Well I haven't had a single beer or anything else alcoholic in .. month now. I don't know why I have these huge drinkless gaps, but then I drink 348 beers at once to make it up. If it means drinking alone, then I do it alone. But that's rarely the case, but I don't find drinking alone negative, it's great. Especially when you start early, everyone is sober and you're drunk, that's fun.
