	The Joe Schmo Show Put an end to popups!

Does anyone watch it? It's like a funny parody of reality shows like Big Brother.

How come Matt still has no clue that it is all fake?

Great show! I love The Hutch and the whole deal with Holly, Ashleigh, and the host (which just ended).

There is a theory (which I don't buy) that Matt is actually an actor and the 'actors' are actually the ones that are getting fooled. But, people are dumb and I'm sure Matt has no idea.

The show is a guilty pleasure for me. I know it's crap, but it's enjoyable crap.

If Matt knew it was all fake, then I'd have to proclaim him the best actor of the bunch. The others screw up from time to time, but he hasn't shown any sign at all that he doesn't believe. And why shouldn't he? All the ridiculous things he's done on the show are hardly any more outrageous than what goes on in other reality shows.

I've never watched it but I think it's likely that Joe Schmo is an actor as well. Just how big of a lawsuit do you think this guy could put up when it turns out he's been the butt of an ongoing joke for 6 mo. It's the viewers who are being fooled.

All the producers and other actors are consistent in saying Matt is not in on it. As for a lawsuit, the nature of reality shows is that you don't know all the twists and moneky wrenches they throw at you. I'm sure the contracts are very biased towards the show.

Well first off...can someone sue Candid Camera or Trigger Happy TV?

Second...I like the show...personally, though, I feel that the other "houseguests" are some of the poorest actors I've ever seen.

Especially the girl that got kicked off the show at the beginning...her acting was atrocious

A better question is, can anyone sue Scare Tactics? That show is justy begging for a lawsuit.

There are tons of inconsistencies. For one, Molly claims to be a virgin, innocent christian girl, yet she participated in some "unchristian" activities, and didn't seem to show much outrage at The Hutch's vulgarity.

He can always sue... he'll never win. The contracts (which are usually like 100+ pages in length which means no one really reads them) probably exempt the show from any liability as a result of Matt's being fooled.

Btw, what will he be able to sue for anyway? I bet he'll get the 'prize' money as a reward for being such a good sport.

Of course he'd have to have damages of some sort in order to have a chance. I think its pretty likely that an average 'joes' life would be **** after being the butt of a joke for 6 months or so on TV. I think its possible that he could have real emotional distress after the bubble burst.

The question that I'd like to see addressed is whether the courts/jury would find it reasonable for a TV program to make money by deceiving and humiliating this guy despite a contract. This guy would have a lot of public sympathy if he became an alcoholic or couldnt work or whatever. I dont think they'd take the chance and thats why I think it's all a set-up.

Did anyone see last night's ep? I loved the look on everyone's faces when Matt asked if the tv exec was really an actor. And then the evicted players came back to question the three remaining constestants. Why did Gina ask "if you were on a reality show...?" That should have tipped Matt off.

Then, just as the last evicted player was about to announce the deciding vote... "to be continued". AAARGGHHHH!

No way Matt knows it's fake. The other actors are only barely succeeding at keeping up their protracted improvisaton acts. Matt reeks of sincerity in everything he says as well as his body language.

The Hutch is probably the only decent actor in the bunch.

Never seen the Joe show, but Scare Tactics has been sued at least once for emotional trauma -- the "alien" kidnapping episode. Don't know how the suit turned out.

Ashleigh? Matt, Brian, and The Hutch just sat down and said they would vote her off. (there was an extra ceremony halfway through the day)

Personally, I think the only thing where he should figure it out that it is fake, is because of all the exceptions, and extra things which just seem to happen. They are way, way too many to expect in a regular reality show.

Maybe Matt just thinks its a really, really bad reality show. (which would fit in with the lowbrow immunity challenges)
