	country changing in eu2 Lose 30 kilos (of popups)

okay as im readin these threads i notice alot of times it says you can become another country while playing a different country like luxembourg can becomne france what do they mean by that?

Save the game. Go to the main menu. Click on the load game button. Click on the save game. Right-click on the shiny shield. Select a country from the list.

Leo, I dont think that's what he meant. I don't remember if Luxembourg can become France, but I do know that several countries can becoem France if they own Ile de France before some date(which I don't remember... ).

Yes, pretty much all French minors can become France if they controll enough of it and France does not exists. As well as the Russian minors can become Russia if they controll Moscow St Pertersburg and somenthing more at some point. If you can the option will pop-up as an event and you have to accept or decline.

You have to kill the country major country you want to become then accept the conversion when the event pops up.

No, AFAIK that other countries revolt from Ile de France can only happen in some of the mods, where other countries than France have the possibility to revolt from there. And besides, that doesn't happen too often there either.

And btw, France must NOT exist at all, for the event to take place.

In my EU2 game as Novgorod, Muscovy has become Russia, despite their not having St. Petersburg. After the last war, Muscovy received Olonets, Arkhangelsk, and Vladimir, and they had already conquered Tver and Ryazan. Soon after the peace was signed, they had an event and became Russia. So it is possible, even without St. Petersburg (in Ingermanland, which I still controlled).

I meant the situation where the capital gets moved and that province changes hands...I've seen Loraine get Ile de France a few times and the French capital move somewhere else.

Russia

Muscovy can become Russia anytime after January 1520. To be give the option it must own
Muscow (270)
and
(either Vologda (268)
or Nizhgorod (272))
and
(either Ryazan (448)
or Vladimir (271)
or Novgorod (274)
or Pskov (277)
or Tver (278)).

Russian Minors other than Moscow can become Russia after 1520. Russia cannot exist and they must own
Moscow (270) and their own capital and one of the other principalities capitals (One of
Novgorod (274), Vologda (268), Nizhgorod (272), Ryazan (448), Vladimir (271), Pskov (277) or Tver (278).)

The Nations other than Muscovy that can become Russia are Novgorod (NVG), Pskov (PSK), Ryzan (RYA), Suzdal (SUZ) and Tver (TVE).

France

Brittany (BRI), Navarre (NAV), Provence (PRO), Auvergne (AUV), Luxembourgh (LUX), Orléans (ORL) and Bourbonais (BOU) can all become France (Getting French events and leaders. To achieve this they must own the Isle De France before 1515 and France (FRA) must not exist.

Guyenne (AQU) and Flanders (FLA) have events to become France as well. Though these countries are not typically playable by humans.
