RoN crashs to desktop whenever I try to start a conquer the world acampaign, with this message error : Gathering exception data...

Hi, instead! The "Gathering Exception Data" error is a well-known problem. Hopefully it will be addressed in Patch 3. In the meantime, some people have found one or more of the following work for them:- Update DirectX to DirectX 9.0b
- Run Windows Update
- Update your video drivers
- Edit the rise2.ini file in Rise of Nations: using a simple text editor like Notepad edit the following lines & values to read as printed here (you won’t find them all together) –
AllowAllResolutions=1
SkipIntroMovies=1
EnableGraphicsToggles=1 (in other words, change the zeroes to ones).
