Of course, I think I can justify that because with civil marriage comes benefits from the state. In order for the benefits you gotta wait a week and undergo pre-marriage counseling. Quid-pro-quo .

Of course, if you just want a religious ceremony, not honored by the state, go right ahead .

Imran, most churches set up premarital counselling for couples well before they get married, sometime after they get engaged, so you wouldn't have it easier.
