This is not a joke (oh alright we will probably point and laugh at some of you).

The length of your ring finger is an indicator of how much testosterone you received in the womb. Men with a long ring finger tend to be more competitive and successful in life. They also tend to be better at sports and if you think that is joke, one English premier league team is now selecting juniors partly based on ring finger length.

As for women, a study was recently done involving 500 women in the UK. They were asked to rate men in terms of attractiveness, desirability as sexual partner, possible marital partner and father. Uncannily, women selected men with long ring fingers for sex and pre-marital relationships and short ring fingers for marriage and parenthood. This probably explains why Mrs Horse and I don't get on as well as we did before we got married

Men with a lot of testosterone can also be identified by their "rugged" appearance. Testerone sculpts the male body giving giving those with high in-utero male hormone exposure a classic V shaped body (broad shoulders, thin waste) and square jaw. Women pick up on these visual clues of virility and are biologically attracted to such men. Consequently men with long ring fingers report much more sex before and after marriage, with a wider variety of partners.

My ring finger (next to the pinky, Datajack) is my 2nd longest, just a tiny bit shorter than my middle finger and longer than my index finger.

The bad news for high testosterone guys is they tend to have a shorter life expectancy. Testosterone gives you a lot of energy for life but it also burns you out faster.

I found it interesting to finally get a possible explanation for why I've pretty much spent my whole life jumping out of my skin and bouncing off walls.

If it's about sexuality, see the sexuality-genetics thread. Testosterone isn't the only thing that determines it, in fact it's probably not even a major factor.

my index finger is set further up my hand, so it is difficult to compare lengths.

All I know is I don't have any good amount of testosterone. I can't get any women

I have small fingers in general (size of a woman's). But my ring finger is barely smaller than my middle finger. Well, I never fathomed myself as much of a macho anyway
