By the way, IIRC this is the turn 19 of ND Golden Age. Any idea about GoW Golden Age?

IIRC, GoW didn't start their GA with the destruction of Bilbao since there were no units there to fight against. We have to ask GS about that since GoW attacked them first.

The save has arrived.

I will be in court all day tomorrow and SHOULD pick up my computer after work if I can get to UPS before they close. Even if I get my computer it won't be ready for use until Tuesday at the earliest.

I need Arnelos and BigFree to play this turn as well.

Pamplona is still standing!!!

New Madrid ends a Pikeman
Disease in Toledo because of the jungle... But at least it also builds another Pikeman!

My recommendations :

1. Send the Pikeman from New Madrid and the second Pikeman from Toledo to Pamplona.
2. Change production of Pamplona to Med. Inf.
3. Activate ALL the Catapults. Bombard the GoW group first until the two riders are damaged then the ND group.
4. Don't attack any unit this turn. Fortify all units EXCEPT the catapults (I don't understand why 4 of them are fortified).
5. Wait until the next turn to attack some GoW damaged units with our healed units (better odds). They will have 8 catapults close to Pamplona...

Why are they attacking us with wounded units? Unless these units have attacked us during their turn. IIRC we haven't lost any unit, so we would have been very lucky if it was the case.

I agree with the recommendations of Seņor Astrologix. It's better to attack GoW soldiers, at least meanwhile the rider units are on the top.

The turn has been played. I dont have time to post shots becasue I was waiting for Arnelos to show up. He didn't, and in the interest of moving the game along I confered with OPD (GS) and OliverFA in #MilOps to play the turn, We did well. I will post shots later this evening. The turn is now with Vox. A 2/5 Sir Donethal is the only unit that GoW has left of that stack, we won all battles. Cats did good. NM and Toledo wer're gifted to GS. Scientist set in Barcelona. Short Rushed an Archer, in order to build a Pike by next turn in Pamp.

FYI - I have managed to get home at a semi-regular time 4 out of the last 6 work days from my new* job and I have sewn up all but two small projects of my from-home contract work.

I've recently managed to post a few times in the ISDG, Monty and even MZO. Sorry I'm getting back to Roleplay last - I read about the game stall and figured that gave me time to get reacquainted elsewhere first.

Have we had a major battle yet? I was waiting for one to write the death sequence for Jaguar.

Why did we gift cities to GS? Are we teleporting units to Pamplona?

Perhaps that's not a bad idea :/

In any event, can we get some GS help here? We need their armies to attack GoW & ND who are finally coming after us. It's time for the big show down and I was hoping to see our Allies drop in to turn the tables on the enemy.

Anyone know what GS is up to?

The idea of the gifting was to get the two Pikes in Toledo and the one in NM to Pamplona ASAP. I asked nye what was going on and he said I should ask OPD or Theseus to send screens.

OPD did tell me that GS plans to move about 10 Knights to 2-2 of Pamplona this turn. That may reduce the risk we face with GoW. You can also tell fom the screens that ND sent two Ansars against us, both failed to win a battle, but both retreated as well.

We discussed (OPD, BigFree and myself) discussed a plan for the turn that was exactly what has been played. We choosed to use the cats against GoW units instead of ND units because ND only had two (1/4) ansars, while the ND riders were a real danger. We also decided that after the cats we would use the MI and ,depending on the odds, the horse, because they had better chances attacking than defending.

The gift to GS of Toledo and New Madrid was exactly to warp the pikes there to Pamplona.

Barcelona cannot grow more at this moment, and that's why we used as a scientist the citizen which was at WF#3. We lose 2 food and 2 commerce (actually just 1 comerce, because the other was lost due to corruption). Barcelona is starving and will go down from 6 to 5 in 20 turns, but we can change the scientist to another city before that happens.

By the way, which tech did we finally choose? OPD recommended Astronomy if I'm not mistaken.

And about those ND Ansars who attacked and retreated, they killed 1 pikeman the last turn, which is not much considering how bad was the situation.

I'm a bit worried about those three ND ships. Are they carrying 6 Ansars maybe?

For what OPD said, it seems that they are going to attack GoW lands. He looked very sceptic about the possibility that Lego had any troops in GoW lands and, if they have, he thinks that they are very few units.

They also will arrive with 10 knights to Pamplona, as BigFree said.

They are desperately looking for Invention and Gunpowder, and for that reason OPD recommended us to research Astronomy, since they are doing the research on the lower branch.

Welcome back, Dejon!

We've had a major battle on 290AD. Just check the thread.

In that battle we caught GoW army between two fronts, the Pamplona defenders and the brave volunteers in the mountain next to the Alamo. Unfortunately GoW and ND have anihilated them between 290 and 300, but their brave sacrifice shall not be forgotten!

We've also had a quite important battle this turn, as you can see.

Thanks NW. GS has already played the turn and sent it on. I sent a PM to Theseus asking for screens and an update, but I recieved nothing. Perhaps he is just be lazy, I don't know, but the lack of communication from GS is bothering me. Can someone else hound them for info as well?

All is well.

But whoever is running things over there at GS needs to get their act together. They offered us 2 former Vox cities when they should have offered us our old cities back.

We just need to adjust our WF to get our cities growing again. We are very thin in military units, though...

I sent two PM's to Theseus letting him know what was going on. GS should have gifted us back those cities. OPD, as well, knew what was going on becausewe discussed it in chat. I'm not sure hwta the heck is wrong with theri team, but I have yet to get any screen shots that I have requested. I'm starting to get pissed
