Note also that the AI tried to bribe me on behalf of minute mirage, offering 2 technologies for my votes. As per practice, I declined, but it serves as a reminder that NO ONE should ever offer or accept a bribe in the voting screen from a human controlled faction since the AI will do things that no human would agree to. Of course, bribing or being bribed by the AI factions is fine

As for the election, I voted for myself. I also think Flubber got the AIs switched: Morgan voted for me and Miriam abstained.

Hi guys,
MM contacted me to make sure I still had the passwords (to be able to find a replacement Kratlylos of the Spartans), and it seemed a better idea for me to just play out K's string, as there doesn't seem to be much constructie for anyone to do with them. Recruiting someone to play the Spartans would be kind of wierd, given they seem to be on the verge of elimination.
I'd be happy to do something exciting and turn the tables, but unless someone gives something really great to the Spartans, they will soon be toast.
BTW, I played the turn without loading the compatibility / v5 patch, as I didn't really want to mess with my existing SMAC PBEM, so if that causes any problems, I'll load up another copy of SMAC in a different partitiion and upgrade that one, but hopefully it won't cause any problems (what little advantage, if any, the Spartans might get won't help enough to keep them alive any longer anyway).
So, unless someone objects to any of this, consider the game on again.
