ND did attack pamploma, but did no damage. My inclination would be to attack only the pike in the forest. The rider who takes that could withdraw. The problem with putting the riders by pamploma is we expose them to catapult fire. With 8 catapults they could seriously damage the force.
I agree that I now see little hope of taking pamploma this turn. Apparently RP got extemely lucky last turn. Yes they took loses but not nearly those we anticipated or hoped for. The fact that there were no retreats really surprised me.
The only problem is that ND attack based on the premise that we were going to attack. On the other hand their force, while not unimportant, isn't a major one and if RP wants to waste units on it, so be it. The worst that happens is that they lose 3 pike and 2 weakened ansars. Rp probably would not get superlucky again. Then they are easy pickings for a counterattack. Also I need to see what version of PTW ND is using. 1.21 still had the "walls still help city of 6 bug". If they don't have 1.27, this could be the reason for their total failure in the attack.
Another possiblity is to launch a limited attack(5riders total involved this turn) and then bring in the 2 pike from alamo to the forest. This would do enough to support ND but not seriously weaken us. This would still give us 16 total riders +3 ansar for next turn. I don't like half actions and doing this doesn't seemed right. also I can just about guarentee they would attack this stack at worst odds than the ND stack, but i could be wrong.
