Got some VERY interesting info from Legolanders.

Apparently Roleplay has sent desperate pleas for Gunpowder and help to Lego and Lego members. They claim they are virtually out of units and that Pamplona is defended by a very small force.

How many Riders can we attack Pamplona with next turn?

One word of caution that it is POSSIBLE that this is all a trap to get us to attack a well fortified city.

Don't think it is, but...

Do our Riders need to move through the forest tile that those catapults were on? I expect those catapults were moved into Pamplona.

Yes the riders that would attack are the Catapult covering force(formerly the TDF, one heck of a diversion taking pamploma.
Of course is we wait we can throw in 21 riders+6 ansars at pamploma next turn. On the other hand if they did take that stack they have to have alot of weak units left in pamploma. It would be a shame to let them get a chance to recover.

I think RIGHT now is the time. They had to have attacked with surrounding units and they will all have suffered injuries. We have reinforcements arriving THEY do not.

If the TDF is over here, who is going to attack Toledo? Why did we move them off of the Toledo counter attack?

The TDF was brought in because an opening(rp emptying Pamploma) presented itself. I figured if it could be decisive in taking pamploma it was worth it. If they had headed toward toledo, the catapults could not have been covered and Pamploma could not have been taken this turn.

Unfortunately not. We do have 6 more riders now on the move, but they are on the main route.
Our forces were the 18 riders at alamo+12 riders of the TDF. Of the TDF 5 went to the forest to bolster the troops there and the other 5 went to cover the catapults with 2 more put in alamo so RP could not see how many riders we have.

Full PM-box? Change here!

I just looked at the save and have to change my mind. We only have seven Riders available and they are all Veteran status. All of our Elites and the bulk of our forces are wounded.

Do we have any idea if ND attacked Pamplona last turn?

If we rest the forces in the Alamo and take back the Forest by Pamplona with our catapults and Healthy Riders we might have a chance of Fortifing those seven Riders for a full assault next turn.

I think it is very iffy to take Pamplona with seven Veteran Riders alone.

ND did attack pamploma, but did no damage. My inclination would be to attack only the pike in the forest. The rider who takes that could withdraw. The problem with putting the riders by pamploma is we expose them to catapult fire. With 8 catapults they could seriously damage the force.
I agree that I now see little hope of taking pamploma this turn. Apparently RP got extemely lucky last turn. Yes they took loses but not nearly those we anticipated or hoped for. The fact that there were no retreats really surprised me.

The only problem is that ND attack based on the premise that we were going to attack. On the other hand their force, while not unimportant, isn't a major one and if RP wants to waste units on it, so be it. The worst that happens is that they lose 3 pike and 2 weakened ansars. Rp probably would not get superlucky again. Then they are easy pickings for a counterattack. Also I need to see what version of PTW ND is using. 1.21 still had the "walls still help city of 6 bug". If they don't have 1.27, this could be the reason for their total failure in the attack.

Another possiblity is to launch a limited attack(5riders total involved this turn) and then bring in the 2 pike from alamo to the forest. This would do enough to support ND but not seriously weaken us. This would still give us 16 total riders +3 ansar for next turn. I don't like half actions and doing this doesn't seemed right. also I can just about guarentee they would attack this stack at worst odds than the ND stack, but i could be wrong.

I can see attacking if ND already attacked. If we only leave the units we retreat with in the forest tile, RP will attack and at least end up with one unit stuck there.

I do think we should kill the GS Pike on the mountain and the Roleplay unit in the forest with Catapult fire and then kill them off.

Well the forest unit will be killed off regardless. That would leave 4 extra units to attack. Say we use these on pamploma and they win/retreat then cover with pikes, there is a good chance RP would send units against them. Even if weakened by catapult fire it is still a good bet there would be several 2hp units there.

I REALLY doubt they will be able to win again and the cost of such a victory is huge because next turn we CAN attack them with enough troops to get to the weak units. Remember they used the stack on the mountain last time and all offensive units from Pamploma. They couldn't have had many offensive units anyway. Lets say thye lost 1/4 attacks that brings them down to 4 or 3 offensive units in pamploma. I actually would rather they use these on offense than on defense.

Definitely sent. also another thing that worries me. Are the GS knights that retreated from merida going to move to a postion to attack Alamo. If they did we could defend the Alamo with the recovering riders and await reinforcements to help. If Gs does this, it would free up the ansars in the south to assist us. With in 4 turns we could have 30+ units (ansars/riders) to attack pamploma from the northwest and also be able to defend Alamo.

We'll have enough, its just that if Gs moves to where the pike is now, they could counterattack any forces on the forest or even go after The Alamo. Thus if they move there we can't attack from Alamo, we can only attack from the Northwest(where we are safe from counterattack). I can't think of any other reason for them to be moving their knights back. On the other hand they could be preparing to send the knights back to the west to protect the eastern RP cities.

Thats one reason for a limited attack this turn. Do some damage and if those forces aren't attacked they can retreat safetly to Alamo to bolster the defenses, if they are attacked they will eat up more RP forces.

Another option is to take that mountain where the pike is, the problem with this is that we can't attack pamploma from the mountain and to hold it we would almost ahve to put all 7 of our current available riders.

On the other hand time helps us. We have 15 riders either on their way or that will be upgraded next turn. RP has no production to speak of(think of these numbers, they have lost 12pike,5mi at least). Also if GS move toward the Alamo, that frees up 15 ansars to help us attack Alamo. An arguement could be made to keep and equal force to the knights at the Alamo and send all available forces to attack Pamploma from the northwest.

Here is the base question for this turn.
Do we 1)attack Pamploma with some forces to provide some support, for political purposes(and protect said forces with the 2 pike from Alamo) or 2)do we tell Nd" sorry we miscalculated(and they were unlucky with their attack)" and save all forces for an attack next turn.(to be honest the idea of using that 3pike force for bait is very tempting and could accomplish alot.)

For option 1) we have AT LEAST 16 riders+3 ansars next turn
For option 2) we have 21Riders +3 ansars next turn.

By the way we WILL attack that pikeman on the forest and maybe the pike on the moutain(depending on how damaged he gets). This is strictly the question of do we atatck pamploma. YEA or NEA

Put an end to popups!

I would like to attack Pamplona with ONE Rider, then tell ND that the random number gods were against us.

We will have attacked Pamplona and still have conserved the bulk of our force for next round.

I like the Idea of moving the Pike into the Forest and killing the GS Pike on the Mountain.
