General question: should we build a second worker soon? One is a bit too light when we're not industrious.

We NEED more workers.

Our capital should be a settler farm (non-stop, quite frankly).

Any other cities should alternate between military units and workers. Start military units when pop is low and then build workers to reduce pop again.

We'll continue that method for as long as we're doing our initial REX phase.

We have 2 workers right now, but you are right that we do need more, I think the third city should be built on the FP's NW of the capital and should build nothing but workers. A worker every 5 turns is possible there.

The capital building non-stop settlers sounds good, it should be at size 3 when it starts so that it can get 3 sheilds per turn and 4 excess food, allowing a settler every 10 turns.

What do you think about the 2nd city? having a barracks it should be good for a millitary base but perhaps it could build a settler in the short term aswell?

Support Apolyton, buy Civilization 2

Due to the recent contact with Tabemono I'd like to suggest changing the barracks build in the 2nd city to a granary.

Have played the turn, I didn't change anything as the the Wheel is discovered next turn and build orders can be changed there.

The 2 jags at home went NW one found a barb warrior. Steve Mcqueen goes West, I think we should also send another warrior west into the unchartered lands to the west of SS.

I set the worker to irrigate.

Please leave the second city on the barracks... it can then build veteran units which will be upgradable throughout the game as vet units.

If we're going to build a granary, we should do it in the capital, which is our settler farm. That said, the capital doesn't have enough production right now to make a granary worthwhile. If we can mine that hill and get it some PRODUCTION (along with a luxury resource so we can keep it content at higher populations), then a granary makes a lot more sense (would speed up the settler cycle overall).

Secondary cities should mostly be building military units and workers. Since we're blessed as a militaristic civilization with cheap barracks, we might as well build them early and thus have veteran units rather than regular units to upgrade later (at least that's my thought).

vulture? bongo? You guys have thoughts on this?

Capital: settlers W/jags in between
Second city: Barracks->units/workers

Next cities...maybe a new settler pump somewhere? Or more military cities?

hmmmn ok, I just don't think it'll help as much as a granary would.

There's not much risk at the moment so I think we can afford to build growth. War will come but it'll be later rather than sooner and a granary puts us in a better position to fight at a later date than a barracks would.

Look at the f11 page, last is everything, there's a gap between us and the other nations which is going to get bigger before it gets smaller, we can catch up by forgoing the early millitary for growth, it's a risk but it's a better one than fighting with less production later on, we'd be in more danger then.

Overall I don't think I don't think SS are going to attack, they have little to gain and will use up their GA. Tabe are peaceful and too far away and any other nations are also too far away.

That said, it's better to trust the concensus view rather than your own, so barracks sounds good. We can come to a compromise regarding mill/growth.
