Greetings everyone
This is the (late as usual the last couple of weeks) weekly round-up
of what happened in the civworld and on our site the last week(12-18.Oct).
But I have an excuse: we had a three hours chats about Ancient Prophecy
yesterday, which most of you missed for some reason :) We have a new chat
next Sunday though, with the creators of Stellal Civilizations. Be there!

NEOCIV CHAT
(Oct.14) If you have been checking on our Hacking/Programming Forum, you
will know about an under-development project to create an open
windows/unix civ-clone. Kwang is organizing a irc chat on Saturday for
everyone who is interested in helping in this project. Here is his
announcement.
(Oct.16) The chat will take place on our #civ irc chanel, on the
irc.iol.ie server. The chat is scheduled for tomorrow Saturday, 8 PM GMT.

SID ON A DESERT ISLAND...
(Oct.16) Gamecenter asked eight great game designers which games they
would take if they were to be left on a desert island. Sid Meier responded
"StarCraft, Freecell and Sim City"! Also, Beyond AC reports that
Amazon.com has a small interview with Sid, check it out.

NEW SCREENSHOTS (Oct. 16)
I was wondering why news sites and tv channels love the word "exclusive".
Well, I just found out! :) Activision was kind enough to send us three new
screenshots. These are exclusive 1024x768 screenshots of the City Status
and Unit Status screens, and an in-game screen. Lots of details are now
easy to see, and some interesting features can be seen. Check them out!

Another new section which will cover turn-based strategy games, especially

REFLECTIONS
(18.Oct) Today's chat was very informative! The three hours during which
the event was live passed by effortlessly. Thanks to everyone who showed
up and asked questions. An official transcript will be released in the
next few days.
An extended thanks goes out to the Ancient Prophecy team for participating
and answering the inquires of those in attendence. We'll be chatting about
Stellar Civilizations next Sunday. More details will be made available
throughout the week.
