What, in your opinion, is the worst crime. Support Apolyton, pre-order Civilization IV

Sometimes, when I see a verdict for some fellony, I think the time givin is not worth the crime. So I decided to post a poll.

I think rape is.

Discuss.

I forgot to add, when a crime applies to only ONE person. I agree with Stefu for Genocide but it applies to a population.

It depends what you mean by worst.

Murder has the largest negative effect on society, but torture implies a criminal further outside what I would consider acceptable moral standards than any of the others.

Child molestation - it messes up the kid for life.

Of economic crimes: corporate scandals. Enron losses were three times greater than the annual loss to all street crimes. The Lincoln S&L scandal resulted in a greater loss than all the bank robberies in U.S. history. (BTW, the FBI doesn't track white-collar crime.)

Torture.

IMO torture includes rapings too. I'm nto saying that rape = torture, but torture can be raping too, among other bonus things someone thinks up.

And for the sake of this thread, let's not argue that rape is torture too.
