Sorry, I thought that I post some real clues faster, but my girlfriend wanted to use her own computer, what a nerve! And to play Starcraft out of all games, a rts! The game I'm talking about is TBS though, as it should be.

Anyhow, to the real clue; The game used the same interface as a series of other games. But, besides from all being stategy games, they had very little in common with the game I'm looking for here.

Standup got it, Historyline 1914-1918 is the correct game. The other series was the battle isle games.

Can't have been that many games for the C64 back that early.... And Jupiter lander isn't exacly multi-scrolling, or shot 'em up. Now, I think there was some chopper game amoungst my oldies back then. Can't remember the name though.

Chopper game? I remember a game were you had to fly your chopper into an underground base, pick up people, dodge lasers and missile tanks and constantly keep an eye on your fuel level.

The game : Fort Acocalypse , another venerable classic.
