Personally I think the Age of Discovery scenario is one of the funnest for MP. Does anyone want to get another one going?

I don't necessarily have a problem with anyone playing the Natives though. Which one do you want to be?

I wouldn't mind getting this started tonight if we get people to sign up. I would like to be France as I have already played the Dutch and Portugal.

The manual suggests that if you play as one of the natives your challenge is to hold off Europe long enough to get a one-city cultural victory.... I guess victory point locations don't apply to native civs in this one...

Well, I'll play as the Aztecs if you want a Native American player, else I'll happily take a European. I'm not under any illusions of winning, more of causing European's trouble....

I'll play. I've been looking for a chance to try out a PBEM game, and this is as good as any. I'll take any civ that's available.


EDIT: On second thought, I probably don't have the time to commit to a PBEM game right now, sorry.

I don't have time for another PBEM game either but my copy of Conquests just arrived so I won't let that stop me.

Any of the European civs is fine for me but I would like to try the English (just a pirate at heart).

PS Does this mean I have to play the turn immediately before GhengisFarb?

I switched my choice to Spain, I tried France a little last night and not starting with a Navigation School just sucked.

Do we want to start tonight even if we don't have all the players and just set the unclaimed civs to be run by the AI.

I have tried a game as the English and got a SGL for the tech that allows you to switch government so I feel confident (famous last words).

I would prefer to limit it to 6 players so we get through the turns. I am also happy with an AI playing France so I can seize Edinburgh quickly. Let's go with what we have.

But if we have some Euro AIs you Natives have some AI sources for sacrifices.

Well, that shouldn't make that much of a difference since us Natives have barabarians for sacrifices and the French AI has to first make it over to us in order for us to first, capture their units and then second, sacrifice them.

Besides, Cerberus really wants to sow up the British Isles for himself...but doesn't Portugal start the game owning Edinburgh and not France?

EDIT: Now that I think about it...I think Cerberus is right, I believe France starts out owning Edinburgh.

Not many - 1 Diplomacy game (which is going slowwwly - eh, Ghengis? ), 3 PTW PBEMS (but it's looking like two of those games are on life-support), and 2 Conquests PBEMS (this one and "Stictly Conquests" PBEM) ... Now if you ask Ghengis how many PBEMs he's involved with...
