I met a hag like that a couple of weeks ago, but a little younger, perhaps 45-50. I was at a crowded pub with two old buddies. We were standing by a shelf table and talking when we saw the people at the closest table were getting prepared to leave, standing up and putting on their jackets. We thought "this is our chance to get some seats, lets get those chairs before someone else take them", and we sat down at one end of the table just after the other people left. At the other end of our table, this lady was sitting alone. We ignored her and continued talking to each other.
Suddenly she shouted to us in a very rude and hostile manner: Don't you have any manners? Haven't you learned to ask permission before you take a seat? I replied that by the look of the situation, the other party was leaving with no intention to come back, so this table was free to take. She said angrily that we should take nothing for granted. Well, in that case we can leave, I said and we walked back ot our shelf by the wall.
Then, after sitting alone at a seven-person table for ten minutes, she stood and left. I approached her and asked in a sarcastic tone if the table was free now, and her reply was something like "It has been free all the time you a$$hol€!". We sat down commenting to each other that "she can't be out to have fun tonight" then forgot her and changed topic. But after five minutes, she came back and started the same discussion all over again.
She: How old are you anyway? (She was perhaps 10-15 years older than me)
I: Why would that matter?
She: Do you know how old I am?
I: Why should I care, now could you please leave us alone?
She: Didn't your parents give you any upbringing?
I: Not at the pub this late at night, no
She: Don't you know that before you take a seat, you must ask permission?
I: That depends on the situation. This is a crowded cub, and the other party was seemingly leaving for the night.
She: No it doesn't! You always ask permission and you take nothing for granted.
I, finally losing it: Well you didn't ask permission to talk to me either, so just beat it, b1tch!
She left, but soon turned and shouted: I don't like you at all! (as if I would care)
I replied: That goes two ways, now go somewhere else! I added sarcasticly: I hope you have fun tonight! (Which obviously wasn't on her agenda at all)
