	Has the time come for a revived CSA? Support Apolyton, buy Galactic Civilizations: Deluxe Edition

Given that America is probably the most polarized it's ever been 1860, I think it's time that our friends south of the mason-dixon finally get their independence.

If you think about it, I think everyone would be much happier. The CSA would be able to do away with social reforms, the yankee carpetbaggers would be able to create the ideal welfare state. Texas would be able to do it' s own thing. Heck, Hawaii could even have bring back the monarchy. Plus, the rest of the world would be happy to see a huge, monolithic American hyperpower disappear. I could even help create that independent Wichita Commune that I always wanted to see.

So if and when the south rises again, you can bet your confederate dollars I will be on the front lines waving the stars and bars. Because, let's face it, no one is happy with America in it's present state. The people of America have diverse enough interests that they should be allowed to follow their own destiny. Sure, we can all unite again later to create a socialist brotherhood, but for now I think this would be for the best. Who is with me?

The Yanks would never go for it, as all the red states would probably go with the South, cutting California and the rest of the West Coast off from their liberal bretheren in the Northeast.

The "flyover country" won't be so funny once it's patrolled by CSA fighter jets...

Fair point Drake. Maybe California can become it's own republic and we can give Washingon and Oregon back to the Brits? The southwest can become de facto property of the mormons.

And we would never join California. Actually considering how many californians we have living where I live, the southern part of the state just may join california. States like Utah would never join the liberal states. Utah is so ultra conservative. I was surprised how many of them didn't like Clinton creating the National Escalante National Monument. I would think they would support things that preserve their beautiful state. I'm an environmentalist myself, but aside from my support of environmental laws, I'm fiscally conservative.

Oh hell yes. The sooner my government no longer contains anyone from texas, Mississipi, Alabama, or South Carolina, the better.

I see 4 countries: The USA, the CSA, the Rocky Mountain Federation, and the Republic of Pacifica. The RMF will be the initial straggler in the bunch, but will get a huge boost when Western Canada secedes and then merges with it.

yes, then I could rise to power and conquer the rebels taking back what belongs to us "true Americans", and then hold huge victory parades where we would ship all of the rebels off to Siberia and all of the Russians could come to America and we could create a new global superpower! Then all of the foolish people who followed me would become my slaves and the Russians would create my new army, soon Canada would be annexed and Mexico would be levelled. Cuba would become the new American capital and black would be white, and blue would be red. I like your idea monkspider, though you may want to look into getting a winter jacket.

How could that be? It's hard to imagine falling harder than the first time. It took a hundred years for the South to really get back on its feet.

Why would one want a New South to fall? Two countries from the current USA would give more power to the individual people. The Yankees wouldn't have to hear us gripe anymore about their social agenda. What reason do we really have to stay together?
