If US/UK Think Saddam Had WoMD, They Should Torture Him.. Support Apolyton buy from Amazon

Assuming weapons of mass destruction are known to exist by our governments, then surely the torture of one man (a brutal, murderous dictator at that), to discover the whereabouts of them, is a far more pleasant solution to the problem than leaving the weapons to fall into the wrong hands - a situation that could lead to the deaths of many people a whole lot more innocent than Hussein.

Agree or disagree?

If I think you had WoMD's I should be able to torture you.
Should your Wommdies fall in the wrong hands, the world would be a much more sorry place, so I think it's worth taking the risk of torturing you.

Disagree.

Torture does not lead to accurate information.

Psychological deprogramming is much more effective.

In Saddam's case, I think either is a waste of time - how do you tell when he's lying?

Disagree. There are no WOMD. It was an excuse to invade Iraq. Thought you'd know by now.

And seemingly, everyone forgot about Osama, the man they should REALLY be looking for. Let me remind you that he is the one that hit the WTC, not Saddam.

The fact that torture should be banned from our socities is one of the core human rights achievements of democraties. Throwing this away is simply not justified by any "benefit" we could gain. This is the same reason why I strongly object to giving Saddam the capital punishment.

Just for the irony of it. Actually... I'd prefer that it wasn't the US/UK doing the torture, but the surviving victims of his regimes torture.

I don't condone NC torture, but this guy is begging to be made an example of.

Saddam trained Osama and his men.

If that is so, even after Saddam said he had nothing to do with OSL I would even believe that SH was going as far as to fund OSL, or at least store his money.

Suffering from ads?

Saddam was hiding Osama.

Osama is a weapon of mass destruction.

Therefore Saddam was hiding a Weapon of Mass Destruction.

It works sorta like the six degrees of Kevin Bacon.

a) other sources have reported the samething, I just don't archive everything I come across on this subject (or any subject for that matter), so what you got was the first source I found on google.

b) shelter - to give a place to sleep, a roof over ones head, a hole in the ground

which SH has done in the very recent past, and since no one really knows where OBL is he could be in Iraq, not saying that he is however.

aiding - training, assisting, supporting, feeding, supplying, strapping the bomb to ones back

whish SH has done in the very recent past, and may have been very well been still doing

---

As far as the torture thing goes; I would rather not know somethings.
