I have C3C now, but I got an email form Wittlitch without any attachments. ???

How am I supposed to do this? This is my first PBEM game. I thought we had one save file that got emailed to people in turn. There was no save file attached to the email I got.

Sorry if it took so long. I had a problem with my DVD-ROM drive. I got that thing when I graduated high school, 5 years ago. It's just now not recognizing some disks. Oh well, maybe I should clean it.

his boss (my old one) is a demanding sort and likes to keep his staff on the road, and on their toes.

It was a very interesting night at the pub yesturday when the two of them chatted about this latest change in circumstances...

especially as Slee had just signed a lease on a new joint and would not be sleeping in my lounge room every other week anymore

Doh! I figured out how to save the save as a .sav from a .dat. Silly really, I guess I was making it harder than it really was.

Any how, 3950BC Save is now on its way to Paddy. Slee's Empire of the Zulus is no more.

EDIT: Oh, and by the way...Thanks for the "Hall o Fame" vote Paddy!

Good news all!

My father just ordered DSL from our phone company. My sister has been nagging 24/7 that I use the phone too much, even though I stay off when people are home, and it's between 10AM and 9PM. She really ticks me off sometimes.

Now I shall be able to use the internet 24/7!

No more long waits from me!

The modem should be here in 10 days, and it is a self instalation, so it should be installed that day!

I'M SO FREAKIN' HAPPY!

The really cool thing is that instalation is free, and the modem is only going to cost $12 for shipping. So, besides shipping, all we will pay is $30 a month! That's only $10 a month more than wer're paying for dialup!

hahaha now if only all PBEM's were like that

do you think we could organise a tournament day
that is a time when we are all on line to get a whole pack of turns done in the one sitting.

we did this in another PBEM that I am in and it got us trough a number of turns very quickly. we found it very helpful for these initial / formation years.

we hooked up with icq and msn messenger, and were able to keep the ball rolling through Europe and Oz.

An interesting idea Peter, though I doubt that we could decide on a day and time in which all parties could be present - given the holiday period and real-life commitments ... Though I don't know why anyone would place real-life issues before Civilization!

I was just surprised that I was able to perform two turns in one day given that we're in the middle of the holiday season.

Well, 1 vs 1 is a different story since it's only the two players. But yes, with a 4 or more person PBEM, having two turns in one day is well....surprising to say the least.
