Man, this is really sad. It's the year 2004, and you know what my current connection speed is? 19.2kbs! Ahhh!
It seems that Earthlink decided to shut down some of their servers on the new year. Maybe they are upgrading, I don't know, but it's only 19.2kbs! That's actually faster than what I got last night, 16.8kbs.
Man, 6 more days! DSL will finnaly be mine!
Some good news, I bought a new Lite On 16x DVD-Rom drive. The thing reads CDs at 48x, and it's quiet. My old drive was having a hard time with the newer CDs, and often CDs in general. I was having to eject the disk after windows booted, and reinsert it. Then the little window would pop up, but it had no option for playing conquests. So I would have to close the window, and start C3C from the icon on the desktop. All this usaually took a few minutes. A few minutes of hassle that I don't have to put up with any more. And, the old drive would sound like a motorcycle as it read disks. This drive has an antivibration system that makes a wierd sound when you put the disk in, but after the disk is in, it is very quiet.
Best of all, the drive cost me $30 on NewEgg.com, free shipping.
My computer is finally coming together. I have learned what my main problem is now. My motherboard is incompatable with Win98. I can't afford the $90 for WinXP home edittion, so until I can I won't be able to use my onboard network card, or my onboard sound card. From what I've been able to hear with my Nforce sound card, it kicks the $hi^ out of my Creative PCI 512, as it probably should. Also, it would be nice to free some slots. I will have to use a netork card for the DSL line, and that will use my last PCI slot. If I wanted to install something, something else would have to go.

Hey all, sorry for the long wait. I thought I had sent the game to Paddy, but upon checking my sent box I found that I never sent it. I guess things got a little hectic this week because our old connection dropped to 28kbs and below, and we were installing our new connection. Somehow it just never got sent.
Anyway, Paddy should have it now, hope this won't happen again.
