Wool of bat and tongue of dog,
Adder's fork and blind-worm's sting,
Lizard's leg and owlet's wing,
For a charm of powerful trouble,

2) Sneakers, tricksters, fiddlers and nutjobs! (a tiny bity of poetic licence here, but since I used Shakespeare in the first clue, then I feel I'm entitled to it! )
Now I said the clues would get easy!
[It is not: Cauldron, KQ3, Witch Brew, er.. Macbeth ] |
I say the clues are by no means easy.
Now I'm not sure any more if it's a witch game or not.

Sod it - here's the last clue and I'll give the answer tomorrow, if required.

5) This game was an unofficial "precursor" to Baldur's Gate.
Now that's easy!

So it's an AD&D game. |
You what?
No-one is getting anywhere, so here's yet another clue:
You played in an isometric world, both in dungeons and over the land (where armies of mutant warriors prowled), and had four characters to control. You couldn't choose the class of these characters (see clues 2 and 3 above), but could change their appearance. Fighting randomly-generated monsters and solving puzzles formed most of the game, and you had to move around the map and visit different cities with dungeons in.
There were seven (?) levels of mutant army, and it was possible to defeat the first one without even going into the first dungeon to level up, but after that they got progressively tougher.
The way of creating and casting spells is referred to in clues 1 and 3, and was very innovative for the time.
Is that enough clues for you?
Oh, and I got the game free with a subscription to Amiga Power, which wasn't a great magazine as far as the writing was concerned, but gave away the best cover disks with loads of brilliant shareware games like Tanx and IK+!
