I doubt that troll was hit by the capitol-distance-delayed-unhappiness-issue since it must have been his capitol that rioted since his civ was destroyed.

So if it was not a city growth + settler + riot thing, then I have a few suggestions what could have happened.

Did the city have any food stored the turn before? If not, it could have starved to death.

Also, if you spend too much money your people will get upset.

It can also be a combination of above situations.

i would suggest to just replay the turn as this really seems unfair.
just what exactly do you have learned from looking at the turns, troll ? anything about the other players ? if not, i suggest to just do the decisive turn again...
but then again, that would be a little bit against the rules. but if we all agree on it... i see no problem.

oh, now i reread trolls post and i realized he meant he looked at ALL OUR TURNS, probably also knowing our chosen techs.
unfortunately, one cannot forget something one saw. so i think it is better if we continue without him.

it would be possible, however, to go back and let someone else play his nation.

That really stinks...

You know, I'd be fine, with as early as we are, to simply restart the game from the very start.

I like my starting position... in fact, I love it (mountains, rivers, and goods, oh my!), but part of what got me to sign up for this game was to have a chance to see just what the Troll does in his games and learn some strategy.

What say everyone on that?

Turn received BTW... should I hold onto it until I find out more info?

i'd say it was troll's choice to look at our turns instead of bringing up the issue first so we might have gone back a turn. also, he now has additional information about our tech choices, even for another game. forgive me for being a competitive player who wants to win.
so no restart. replacement for troll and 2 turns back now seem to be the best possibility to keep it to 6 players. else we should just play on with 5.

I asked Troll, whether he'd like to have the turn replayed, but he said "No". Dimytes' assumptions about the reasons for the disappearance of the Russians are really close to what really happened. I must say, that Troll had a lot of bad luck at turn 15...

Troll, Grandpa , i wanted to say: maybe you want to open up another OFT game (2). Alex2004 would sure be interested and probably some more.
if Hatschy doesnt mind, i would gladly moderate that game. of course also to see what technologies will be chosen there. that is, unless someone thinks this will give me an unfair advantage in this game. in that case i would suggest Hatschy as a moderator for that game too.
