I have noted here, and in real life, that generally rightwingers have a problem with women... |
This is a sweeping generalisation that encourages stereotypes. Forget it, it's a blind alley.

... do you think that feminism is a good cause?
|
Yes, when balanced out with the needs of men - how about equality of sexes being a better cause?

I have trouble in understanding the anti-feminist stance of the right. Please explain. |
In general, CERTAIN members of the right feel a need to be identified with "traditional" values, ie women for breeding, cooking and cleaning only.
Try that line in my neighbourhood and you'll be looking for your teeth.

When I said 'majority vote' I meant as in a stock company. The one who made the largests investment gets to decide.
I am not trying to boil the issue into humans acting as robots. However I think a rational case, based on the ideology of Capitalism, can be made for taking a pro-choice stance. Anyway I think there is a contradiction.

Yes, we are only counting independent countries. Non-independent countries are not countries, they are provinces. And if we were counting provinces, then the American West would be the first place women got the vote, as stated in BK's post to which I was originally responding.
The fact you can't recall any elections held in the USSR (which didn't exist until the 1920s) doesn't mean they didn't take place. I can't recall you being born, but I am sure it happened since you are pestering me.
Finnish independence was recognized in Dec (or late Novermber) 1917, one month after the Soviets abolished the Provisional government. Given that Finland was part of that revolution, it's a quibble to argue which country granted women the right to vote first, as at the time women were granted the right to vote, Finland was still technically part of Russia.

IPO means Initial Public Offering. A child is not offered to the public. A child is the result of a consentual agreement between two private parties in which the woman has invested the most.
The state then actually oversteps on two levels. Firstly it intrudes on the family unit. Then it intrudes on the woman.
