For some of you who do not get it yet... hitting a woman is against the law. It will, in today's social environment get you landed in jail. If she was a real jerk she could have him charged.

If in a crowed place look to friends and buddies to back you up, make it loud and clear...
Back off move back and continue to move back until you have no choice but to defend yourself. Make it clear with the people around you that this is offensive and her, thier action is aggressive. In other words it is not a game nor is it fun filled and you will strike back in self defence if they continue... DO NOT STRIKE BACK AT ALL IF YOU CAN GET AWAY. Now at that point up to you to press charges.

90% of men do not, it is manly not to, mind you it hurts us in the long run, 60% of all women do... Disparity oh well. Back off, make it clear to witnesses it is not making you happpy, make it clear to the offender you will defend yourself if need be, back off. If cornred and you defend yourself you have done the right thing.

Same thing goes for women you see the same thing happens to both genders and the law accomidates it...

But, in today's environment males are the aggressors and females are the victims.
Just read some of the post's here, victimizing women...These simpltons simply do not get it. Nor do they understand equality...

Oh women are the weaker sex, tell that to your favorite women blackbelt....

So while hey she wanted to play like the boys.... I wonder where we get this stuff from... Oh ya women raised us dang forgot that one...

Remember do not grab, strike, push, shove etc.... back off look for witnesses, make them part of it and back off, defend if you think you will be hurt by that person's action...

That is the law and the societal input of the day, heed it.

If he had witnesses it still would land him in jail if she reported it.

If he reported it she would not be in jail, check the stats...

So yes maybe he would be found not guilty but here and in other places he would have been jailed and gone through the ringer.

If he reports it he goes through the ringer just not in jail...

The idea here is not to hit other people animals etc... it simply is neanderthal.

But defend yourself against the ones who do not get it and or can not help it...

Azazel I mearly claim that in the last what how many years? women have raised children. Only once again recently have we seen men assuming this roll again.

Both have a roll, yet one dominates that roll. If the ages of 1 to 5 are when we learn the basics, who then is, was responsible for your moral conduct?

We live in a daycare society, parents do not raise thier kids, until now, again.

More dads are on the scene this can only be a good thing for kids and working mothers alike.

jdd2007, that's a BAD advice when it comes to men. Don't EVER let a man hit you first, EVER. First of all, it might be someone who can actually fight and hit, so there goes your jaw, it can end up ugly. I say hit first if that's bound to happen, hit first, hit second and hit hard afterwards.

Absolutely. You have to keep in mind, that in a real fight situation you can't give any advantages to the other guy. He might hit and hurt you bad. One punch can be potentially extremely dangerous. Heck, you can die from it. It's not likely, but if someone is there to provoke you and you sense the aggression and coming attack, it's not a gentlemen fight where you hit each other one by one and ask 'you had enough!' and see who the toughest is. Also, he might be backed up by friends you don't yet see. They will come and kick you too, once you are down. Even in bar, yes, that happens ALL the time.

Why risk it? If someone is there to fight you and you have no way out, you need to be explosive, you need to be rude and arrogant and play it unfair. Put a little shock value to it by hitting hard but also following it up, and controlling the environment by being read to throw down with the next one coming up. Don't go down, you get kicked and you might not be able to get up. Don't let anyone to mistreat you, have some respect for your body!

It doesn't matter if you are martial arts practitioner or nto, there are many guys out there who can throw down and game plans fly out when you get hit real hard. That's why you gotta keep it realistic and simple. In crowded place with little room to move, the only way to be effective and protect yourself is NOT to back up where you might find yourself cornered with bunch of dudes looking to trash you, except if you're familiar with the place and know the routes like your back pocket.

The best way is to throw down first, hard and keep going. How do you know if the guy is going to hit you? You sense the feeling. Sometimes it's really obvious. Great start is to lift your hands like 'hey man I don't want any trouble' and spread'em a little and just throw a destructive combo and kick the guy when he is downed. Now quickly look out for his possible back up and if there is a chance, run the hell out. Do not try any constriction moves like holding the guy, it will get you, his friends will kill you. You have to eventually let the dude go anyway, and he won't be forgetting it as he was humiliated. Just knock'em out hard. Hit them in the face, nose is good as you might have a chance to brake it and the dude should be out, or if you can really punch you can go for other strategies too. Protect yourself at all times.

Or else you risk yourself getting a beating. You can get away several ways, but only way you can be sure you're the one controlling the pace is to hit first and DON'T EVER look if he wants to continue. You need to follow it up.

No I'm not violent. I have never fought in a bar. I have been provoked several times in bars, but I have always managed to get out without a fight. I have even had a guy put his hand on my throat and other hand in the fist, and able to persuade him to take it off without fighting.
It helps if you know how to fight, how it feels to get hit hard in the face, and how to return the favour and rumble. Why? Because you're more confident in situation where you might have to protect youself. You might be little scared still, but you have been there before, and you know the other guy can't hurt you like you have been hurt before, by a guy who can fight and hits you in the face on regular basis. So, you can be confident and relaxed and say what you think which should be 'Come on man let go, I don't want to embarras you in front of your girlfriend' or something creative. It's about control. If you look like you can fight, talk like you can fight (not trash talking, but confident), the other guy will give it a thought and you can try to persuade. As long as you're not whining about it and crawling 'I do everything so you let me go', not a way to go. That says you're an easy fight to him.
