We love acronyms here (e.g. ASAP, PDQ, AOK, ETA, ECD, MRP, ERP, etc. ... ad nauseam), but we don't shorten the names of things like the Brits and Aussies do (e.g. tele, barby, uni, ... etc.). I don't know why, exactly.
