Was this a PBEM Challenge match? I don't think you could play 75 turns by PBEM in one week.... But maybe!

I can testify to the fact that Gav's fast - I've played one PBEM game with him, and it was the quickest I've ever had, and we went through more turns than in any other I've played! I think we probably had 10-25 turns a day. It was great fun .

I have the luxury of being sat in my office a lot with a permanent connection and as a turn only takes about 3 mins, it is easy to throw them right on back!

That game we had J. was great fun!

No, it was in the distant past... It was primarily a vehicle for teaching me to play, and involved almost no combat (which is the only reason I survived ). I did better than I expected, but, alas, did not take the lessons sufficiently to heart, and I think I've probably forgotten most of the vital info...

But it was fun

Up late or early riser J??

Can you play online yet??

I am way out of touch in playing ability now.. At least in PBEM.. The one thing we both did in that PBEM was to play it exactly like an online game..

I am about to get my posterior kicked by Blackice..

Maybe, but I have a big project deadline looming at the moment (Next Wednesday - maybe I shouldn't be up late posting, hm? ), after that perhaps I'll give it another try.

The almighty, undefeatable and invincible Gavrushka humbled? Never! . All results until you are again unfailingly victorious must inevitably be classified as exceptional statistical fluctuations.

And now I should probably stop spamming in threads where I don't belong, tear myself away from 'Poly and get some sleep .

Definitely not.

My 13 or so losses to 2 (both dubious) are most definitely sheer luck of the numbers however...

I have mailed him twice last summer - the mails didn't come back from a postmaster, so I assume his account was active. But he didn't answer my mails, so I guess that is a "No, Meiciofok does not come back".

They are treated as any other "abandoned game". That is, neither a win nor a loss is recorded -- the game is just cancelled.

Choose your opponents carefully in PBEM Challenges. Some PBEM games take a lot of work to complete. It's a shame if someone just up and disappears without at least "resigning" the game first. I can understand having to leave, but at least have the fortitude to "RESIGN" your games when leaving, instead of just disappearing.

The above describes the current way of handling disappearing players. However, we can take a vote here if you all want to make "abondoned" games VICTORIES for the remaining player. What do you all think? Shall we have a vote?

Two questions:

#1-Does a duel-dual count as "ONE" or "TWO" Victories?

#2-Will thou proclaim a day of feasting on the fatted calf in honor of Grandpa Troll being "DA MAN" with his running off MPTeach?

I say it should be a victory after a certain turn, maybe after turn 100, so games that you have put time into are wins and new games are not.

But then a person plays a frickin low-life L-O-S-E-R!!!!! and gets real close then decides..nope..I am bailing...

why shouldn't a person NOT get a Victory?

I say if a person starts a game then loses, quits, retires, bellies-up give the other person the win and move on...

IF we were to use what protoss suggests, i would say let the rule apply from turn 20 on.
yeah, switch the 100 from that with the 20 from the 4xPG rule.

Got spare money?

If they quit after like 5 turns then you would just get a really cheap win. That's why I said maybe a set number of turns need to be played first.
