I'm in...how many rules you want to throw in? The 150 turn peace rule might be very interesting in an island game...perhaps a rule that any island claimed (i.e. settled) cannot be intruded upon? A navy would be very important. We'd have to play on a map with Lots of islands...

how about we keep it simple?

No wonders

no barbs

no pollution

2 slots you two slots me

peace until 100>>>>>>>>>

(war not before turn 101)

no pirate no pillage ever

have fun

Im kewl for the no build upon

question though?

what if the island stretches out and overlaps and neither knows about it?

just handle on case by case?

let me know

i can do it today..under the weather gonna be right here

Help yourself to an AD-FREE life

How about every city has the turn number in which it was founded as part of its name (i.e New York 22). If you land on an island and build and it has been previously settled, you have to destroy the city the same turn your opponent discovers the "trespass". Therefore, if you build before exploring the island completely you are taking a chance. But you can if you don't mind the risk. It will make exploration very important , and could lead to some dramatic shifts in power. To make it interesting we will have to set up the map to have many islands, to push people to sea and get exploration happening early.

Just out of curiousity, why don't you like using Wonders? Do you think they unbalance the game? (I don't mind...was just wondering.)

I dont mind except say if one civ gets caught in a clearly bad land start whereas the other has a better leg up

then that player would not only have a better start but also get to the key wonders quicker and then really put themselves out in front

Thanks

I have like 4 games going now where each human has 2-4 civs to control

basically in a row you play your turns

a few games Blue has been blessed

but in a few Pink has come out strong

one game Green is blowing the doors off everyone

go figure

okay, just that in CTP you cannot load your allies' troops onto your ships and stuff. like Pauli or so said two units of different nations cannot occupy the same tile at the same time.

Avatar Enlargement: We've got the solution

replacement needed for Dimytes in the OFT #2 game.
game is somewhere in modern age. each player had one free technology in the beginning.
Dimytes' civilisation is currently a close second in power graph behind Stas, with another human civ further off and an ex-human soon-AI civ on the bottom.
