I was a teenager when the Iran Contra controversy came out. Honestly, I looked up to and admired the President. When the Iran Contra scandal broke it forced me to take a harder look at President Reagan. I question everything about him, from his politics on race, his tenure as the president of the actors guild, his involvement with the RFK assassination, everything.

whoever said I was compassionate?

it's not that I just "disagreed with his politics"... it's that his "politics" resulted in the death and poverty... all while dopes on the right glorify him like he's jesus

and the hatred isn't BLIND... it's based upon insurmountable evidence, facts, and statistics...

there are people on the right who I do disagree with and don't wish them death... John McCain for instance... but an evil piece of **** like reagan deserves the hatred towards him.

And its pathetic you accuse us of having "blind hatred". Were you conscious during the Clinton years? Were you awake when the right wasted $70 million of taxpayer dollars on Whitewater? a rinky-dink land deal where no wrong-doing was found? or how about Monica Lewinsky? over $100 million wasted investigating that bullshit. So don't give me your "oh you guys are pathetic... blind hatred.. blah blah blah" BS.

I do not believe that the President of the United States could have no knowledge of or did not sign off on what happened in the scandal.

If he was unaware then, the Vice President had to be aware and gave permission. Someone above Oliver North's head should have rolled.

Pax, well Reagan certainly pissed the left off. There are a lot of conspiracy theories about his career, it seems.

I haven't even heard the one about his alledged involvement with RFK's assassination. Could you share this fish story with us?

Funny... I didn't realize that Rush Limbaugh, Ann Coulter, and everyone who used to be on the Newsmax forums were extreme left.

And I don't wish for him to die, I just wish more people would realize what a bastard he was. I would think you would hope he dies soon, as Altzheimers is a terrible thing to go through.

I don't want to be terminated

There are no rumors going around that I know of about the Reagan's involvement with RFK assasination. What i'm saying is that

a. IMO the investigation was not thorough.
b. Reagan was Governor at the time
c. Reagan is shady
d. investigation shady

So when you have a thief at the scene of a robbery he automatically becomes a suspect.

Question: Who is (or was, apparently) RFK? I know JFK, but...

Hold on, Robert Kennedy? Was his second name Fizgerald too? How unimaginative...

Happy birthday to Ronnie Raygun, I bet his SDI project gave us some neat gadgets. And got the soviets out from under their opression. (Instead of being opressed, and having something to eat.)

Anyone who thinks Ronnie would have chance in hell is in Superfan territory...

NOw, the battle of the Reagans, Ronnie vs. Nancy, that would be a good fight!

Or if we want a battle of 1980's conservatives, Ronnie V Maggie, the Trans-Atalantic smack down!

No, it's just that when I look at what Reagan did as president, and what he did not do, he has a terrible record as a political leader.

And since you, and many other Apolytoners already know my reasons, I'm going to try to refrain from posting in here any further.

Since when is the dialectic of history, the struggle between the classes and control for the means of production say anything about compassion?

It's a personality thing. Remember the "Are you an Optimist/Pessimist?" thread a week or three ago? All the big-name Commies on this board (except Monkspider) voted "pessimist." Not surprising, really.

God, you bitter commies are pathetic. Your idiotic ideology was going to fall one way or the other, so I don't see why you have to hate on Reagan just because he was the man that brought the evil of Communism to its knees.
