It's called freedom of speech -- the same freedom that homophobics are entitled to, and the same freedom that Ku Klux Klan members are entitled to.

Not that Kerry's form of expression was anywhere nearly as extreme as homophobics or Ku Klux Klan members, but I thought extreme examples might get this through your head.

Free speech has nothing to do with this. He defamed American GIs and America and gave comfort to the enemy. He now wants to lead America and be its commander in chief. Before we vote, the people should fully know what he did and said once upon a time to judge the character of this man.

Besides, he left Vietnam after only four months on his request. One can do that if one receives three purple hearts. He did receive three purple hearts for three scratches.

If there is a "deserter" in this campaign, it is Kerry. If there is a war criminal in this campaign, it is Kerry. (He even admits it.) If there is a traitor in this campaign, it is Kerry.

If this is the kind of man that we want as president, the so be it. But the truth about this man must be told and hard questions must be asked of him before we vote.

As far as I'm concerned, Kerry was not disparaging ALL Vietnam soldiers -- he was angry about the atrocities that were committed by SOME of our American soldiers.

And I also believe that Kerry was sincerely concerned that United States was being reckless with the lives of American soldiers in Vietnam -- he cared about those soldiers who were innocent of any war crimes.
