Again, we don't know yet. Maybe they'll have 30 ready to upgrade. Maybe they'll have 0. The point is that we shouldn't put any of our eggs in any basket until we're sure. If GWT slows down and conditions allow, the more Muskets CGN can upgrade the better off we are, right? We should wait and see what opportunity they have to upgrade before we spend any of our treasury.

I have been sick the last several days, especially yesterday, when I had a fever of 101 F (and missing a day's work). I'm feeling a little better now and will try to get some more things about this posted soon.

My point is should you find out before you say we can't do ET's plan because CGN is going to need all the at gold. It seems as if the cart is put before the Horse in this case.

E_T's plan requires quite a bit of gold to be spent next turn. That is my only problem. If it specified a certain amount of short-rushing to be done sometime in the future then I would be more responsive. However, as it stands now, the cart is being put ahead of the horse... though only with regards to short-rushing. This is why we should vote no now.

The AI also never builds artillery, has 4 tile city spacing, and has the micro-managing abilities of an orangutan...

I have a funny feeling that conmcb25, Hot_Enamel, and Beta may resent that remark.... well, unless they let the chimps do all of the micromanaging because even they recognize that orangutans aren't any good at it.

Suffering from ads?

I thought the orangutans did the diplomacy, the gorillas did the fighting and the chimps did the micro-managing

is that 24 gold for just one turn or the whole plan?

If it's the whole plan, then ... that's more than reasonable. But if it's just one turn, we need to decide if we're going to debate this thing every turn or if we should discuss it as a whole project and consider the total costs over a period of time, etc.
