	Announcing epic PBEM - players wanted! Support Apolyton, buy Civilization: The Boardgame

I am starting an epic PBEM game and looking for players to join.

Game Settings:
- Game Type: Play By Email
- Game Mode: Standard
- Turn Timer: None
- World Size: Standard
- Barbarian Activity: Roaming
- Land Mass: Random
- Water Coverage: 70% Water
- Climate: Normal
- Temperature: Temperate
- Age: 5 Billion
- Difficulty: Regent

Game Rules:
- Allow Domination Victory
- Allow Space Race Victory
- Allow Diplomatic Victory
- Allow Conquest Victory
- Allow Cultural Victory
- Culturally Linked Start Locations
- Accelerated Production
- Allow Cultural Conversions
- Preserve Random Seed

In order to participate you must have Civilization III: Conquests v1.15 beta and agree to the following:
- check your e-mail at least once a day
- immediately respond to all messages from other participants
- play and send your turn within 24 hours of receiving it
- inform all players in advance when you are going to be unable to play for more than 24 hours
- play the game to completion unless personal or technical circumstances make it impossible for you to do so
- contact me immediately if you encounter technical difficulties

If you would like to play, please send me a private message with the following information:
- e-mail address
- time zone
- usual playing times (I need this to arrange proper turns order)
- 2 preferred civilizations (if the first civ is already taken, then I will put you for the second one)
- if you want me to customize your civ, also provide the appropriate information for the fields (Formal, Noun, Adjective for Civilization; Name and Title for their Leader)

The game will start as soon as I have 8 confirmed players.

EliitMees, allow me to recommend you that you don't make an epic game with 8 players, as it would be very slow, even though if everyone tried to play fast.

Great "contract", btw I would be glad to enter, but I can't play until april the 1st

I agree that 8 teams will be slow to start, but as it is a standard size map - we may be down to 6 quickly.

That is not too far away. It usually takes a week to get things up and going.

Hi jaly2. Welcome. I hope you appreciate and understand Ellit's guidelines regarding playing the turns. It generally means you have to be on-line daily - and should play your turns within 24 hours - preferably as soon as possible after receiving them. And a pbem game takes a lonnngggg time to play. I don't mean to be discouraging - just so you know.

Thank you for the advice. I am in a PBEM game with a guy from work and it is moving slow. This 8 person game should take a while but it will be fun.

great. why dont you start the game elitmees, and make a post with all our addresses and arrange us by timezone/playtime. take care of all the practical stuff and then we're ready to go on april 1st.
