	I need your help! (concerning the "warlords" universe of games) Browse Apolyton AD-FREE

I was wondering if there is a map anywhere online of the land of Illuria from the original warlords game. You know, the very first warlords, that was so simple and so fun. I can't even seem to find ANYTHING about the original game...

Don't rivers normally flow in the middle of forests, but go nowhere?

I have a cheap-ass scanner, so whoever made it probably went out of business the day after it was shipped off to the store I bought it from.

I use XP, and last time I checked into the scanner it didn't have support for XP. I couldn't be bothered checking what the scanner is at the moment.

That's really cool, Skanky! I appreciate the help, because I'm trying to construct a framework for a fantasy novel, and the land of Illuria always struck me as being a really intriguing and interesting world. When I was younger, and playing the original game, my imagination would run wild, imagining what the cities were like that I had captured.

If you could get a scan of that, that'd be wonderful too, but I really appreciate the help given thus far. I didn't expect so much support!

Ok, now we can really see where the rivers went wrong.

1.) River in SW appears to flow in a circle - has no source.

2.) River near SW that flows from nowhere to nowhere in a forest.

3.) Worst offender - the main river that is shaped as if flowing from North to South, while it appears that the river is intended to flow in to opposite directions.

4.) Two extensive swamps which contain no rivers or streams. Why are they wet? Noone knows.

Yet you find nothing wrong with discovering legions of devils in a temple that are willing to fight for you?

My favourite thing to do was make a group of "dragon" light infantry. I would get Carmel pumping out light infantry and then send them on a blessing crawl across the map. Visit each temple once and suddenly these 2 gold upkeep units were as strong as an army of dragons! Of course, by the time I managed to get the first group to all 4 temples the game was pretty much over.

Devils will do anything if you pay the right upkeep

And I believe you'll find they are Demons in the temples

Devils are red and have the pitchforks. The demons are brownish, have wings (although they can't fly) and seem to have claws as offensive weapons. The Devils are much more powerful, I find, than the demons.

Also, the "river" that is alone in the forst could be just a strangely shaped lake.

Thanks for the map, skanky! It's really helped me alot! And satisfied my quench for nostalgia.

Skanky, thanks for themap. I saved it and it looks great. I no longer have Warlords II deluxe, do you have that map. I still have III.

That I'll have to check up on. I only kept the boxes of Warlords 1, Pirates and Hardwar. But I have the manuals of all my games in a drawer somewhere.
