That means you're a staff member, DG mod, news editor or similar (and IIRC you're a DG mod, so that's true then) and as Markos announced earlier this means he has to set you up manually. He's still in the army though, which means there are periods (such as now) when he has very little online time. I'm sure he will help you out as soon as he has a few moments to spare (if it's any consolidation none of the staff have been set up either AFAIK ).

Thanks Loc - I am a DG mini-mod in a couple of places and a News Editor more places than I have properly checked.

I am used to Mark being away for periods, but I thought with the increased posting from him recently I would catch him here. Guess I was just unlucky. He's bound to see my email and help sooner or later.

Well I guess I'll have to watch everyone else having their fun for a bit first.

At least I know I WOULD be supporting but for the system not letting me. Down with the system!

Cool - I'm in. I'll be doing the yearly sub thing. My wife kind of balked at the lifetime cost; but the yearly is the same as a magazine subscription (of which she has many). At least you can count on me as a recurring source of funds from year to year.

Would the extra-large avatar still remain? And what happens to PM's, attachments and uploads that are over the limit?

i'm not sure how we'll handle avatars. my first thought is that you'll be geting some sort of notice about it to change it.
pm's: you'll automatically get the message that you cant sent a new pm cause you have to many
attachments: no effect to existing attachments
uploads: no detetion of files, you wont be able to upload new ones

Oh, so the infamous subscription service actually got off the ground, huh? I've been away for a few weeks and when I returned, I saw this big "subscribe for ApolytonPLUS" thing... It actually worried me for a moment, I thought I'd have to pay to access the site.

Now, I think that the benefits are too slim in order to justify subscribing to the service, but I understand that this is a way of supporting Poly, so I think that's ok. I would join if I could, but I think that I'm not allowed to have a Paypal account...

Cheers Mark - as you can see I am all subscribed and loving it, and I have not seen a difficulty with (some) DGMod abilities to date!

Will my new usergroup status affect anything else?
