Considering this poll

has run long enough, here are the three main choices :


  • 1 human team vs SP factions
  • 3 human teams vs AI factions
  • 4 human teams vs AI factions


Vote for all the options you would be prepared to play. Do not vote if you would prefer not to play that option.

If its close again, then we can have another run-off between the top 2.

We can assume that SMAX core rules has won (i.e. no massive alpha.txt mods or custom factions) and that people are interested in giving the AI a boost (in whatever way the CMN thinks of)

Going for 1 Human faction and 6 SP, that gives us the best of both the first and the second Democracy games for the great and glorious 3rd game!

The other options would basicaly be repeats of this second game and I would realy like to see a new formate used.

I am wondering if we should perhaps also Poll the option of just having 2 Democracy Teams which would ofcorse have to war with each other, that would give us good sized teams and make the game rather straitforward. It also avoids the senario inwhich you get a 2v1 in a 3 team game. A 4 team game would likly evolve into a 2v2 so we would just be cutting to the chases here by having 2 teams.

Besides, 3 teams give a balance of power struggle. One faction may be the most powerful at a certain point in time, but won't be able to attack on enemy without the third sitting back and waiting for the chance to carve the weakened remains after the war.

I still think it was so close between 3 or 4 teams that we should look at the voting for most popular factions, and then decide. If there are 3 favorites, then 3 factions, 4 favorites then 4 factions. Simple.
