If you have already downloaded and installed v1.15, v1.20. and v1.22 - Do you need to install the stand-alone v1.22? Are there any changes in the stand-alone from the original v1.22?

I have a couple of things about the latest patch:

1) My victory conditions screen is all out of whack. Has anyone else gotten this problem?

2) I get this Week indicator on my date display now. There's nothing about this mentioned in the "what's new" file. Anyone know what that's about?

There was a few bugs in patch 1.20 which 1.22 fixes. Otherwise they're identical.

The trick with the sub "feature" is to put the sub into harm's way of a unit you WANT to declare war on you. Or "bleep -- that WAS my #1 ally." Both have happened to me in my current (1.15B) game; fortunately I am in "uber" position.

Normally I have my subs escorted or in port at the end of my turn.

Great ideas Jaybe! Er, may we add these tidbits to the players handbook of 'work-a-rounds and secret strategies'? Right now I'm on verge of launching a 'test' to see if I succeeded in getting AI's to use Siege units offensively, maybe even to Siege a city! Imagine that!!

In which case, we'd better start finding more things to fix so that it's worthwhile for Jesse to devote some time to the "next" patch. He's already ruled out some things as being too time consuming or because some fixes may break other parts of the game (I seem to recall the sub bug being one of those).

After all, Firaxis do seem to be a little reactionary on the patch side, so there won't be another patch if they feel we're all reasonably happy!

By the way, I still haven't seen any official answer to the question of why the tech tree changes were made. Not that it bothers me - I'd just like to understand why they did it.

The one big thing I want fixed now is the sub bug. If they're not gonna fix that, I don't really see the need for another patch.

If they do make one, fixing Culturally Linked Start Locs (so you don't always get American neighbours) would be nice.

Well yes this is good...

I've been exploring new ways for us to get what we want.

Here's my top list:

~~Public Stock Offering followed by good all fashioned proxy fight.
~~Circulate a petition to send to the Founding Father Sid for 'access' to 'sacred ground', such as the CODE, events and Editor functions, etc. etc.
~~My last idea is a real doosy; a corporate hostile takeover.

You see my ideas are a fresh fire waiting for more fuel to be thrown in.

Maybe we should limit this wish list to ten items. Those who wish to be on the 'selection committee' need only be vocal.

One idea, Antrine...
Use a time machine, go back in time and kill Hitler before WWII, let the two Soviet attacks happen, wait for Yuri to develop his mind control devices, then steal them and use them on Firaxis

We may seem to getting a 'little' off topic here however this is a Firaxis 'BUG' thread and they (the bugs) are all over every topic er terrain.

As far as I remeber he said that sub-bug was too time consuming for this patch. That doesn't mean it won't be fixed in next one.

Nor the opposite...

They also said that very limited resources were being allocated to finishing C3C, which means any hypothetical patch will probably be a long time coming, if at all.
