if you want to change your username, you can now do it by yourself through a simple page!
notes:
- your whole profile will be kept. post count, personal info, everything
- your old posts will keep the old username
- others have tested it on other forums, but I have yet to test it here. it's not like I changed everything, the script is 100% the same that it's author provides
still, we need a brave man
To access this feature, click on "<a href=/cgi-bin/ubb/ubbmisc__action=editbio&Browser=&DaysPrune=1&LastLogin=>_profile<__a>_"_.html and then see the instructions

can I change it back later. I've had a few user names here. Note they aren't double logins, one was given a vacation, but I was too lazy to e mail ming to get him back.
Is there any way to combine them?

If I change my name can someone else use my MWHC name while mine is changed??

Do it MWHC, do it and we'll see.

However I find this feature very interesting. I have been thinking for some time to get back to my old CDB handle (a true "icon" on other forums, not on this one ) This gives me the chance to do it without losing my veteran status. Gotta think about it a bit more.

Talk about people just getting stupid with a new little toy. It's like he just begs for problems.
<img src=/forums/"/images/blue1.gif" width=100% height=1></font></td></tr></table></center>well, many people have asked to change their login over the last 2 years. we made it easier than it could ever be. now, if the members instead of appreciating this start to find ways to disrupt the forum via it, what I can say...

dont worry, the script keeps track
for example, the last two changes are
Julian Delphiki -> Julian Delphíki and
MattHiggs -> Chism

btw, I wonder if those 7 days should be more...

1) the limit now between changes is 2 months. I think it's ok...
2) I've created a thread where the changes will be posted http://apolyton.net/forums/Forum20/HTML/000800.html
3) If someone totally changes his login(instead of correcting a spelling error or something like that), he can use the location field to put "Formerly known as XXX"(that is if he wants, he might not want to tell it to the world(it will be tracked though on the thread mentioned before))
