During the last 2 weeks I had a final spurt of business finishing my thesis, last week was holy week and I spent it with my familiy in Mexico City, given that I had not that much time to be online, and the fact I had a measly crappy modem, I didn't really post much at Poly.

I apologize because of this, I know quite well that peace is boring, and my public inactivity makes this even more boring. Resst assured that we are doing VERY good (2nd place in Manuf. and size, 3rd in GNP) and I intend to keep it that way.

I will now have much more time to devote to this demo game. Chats are still being held on thursday at 3 EST with ND and whoever else decides to drop by.

No probs..

I check the forums at least 4-5 times a day.
Peace is not boring...its just that it does not require as much attention.

Plus... I have been having a heated argument with Vondrack and Imtoops (Both Lego) within one of my PBEM's which has really sucked the enjoyment out of playing civ.

He has been posting some of my comments/strategies within the Lego forum and I am considering doing the same here.

Sad to see your PBEM going that way. My current PBEM with Kloreep, Zargon, Sharpe, and Rhoth has been nothing but enjoyable, and only good natured ribbing has happened.

Then, it hasn't gotten to any real heated wars yet either. I don't really sense much competition in it as much as just fun, though.

I have to review our emails. Some of what he wrote was written in anger and probably shouldnt be posted.

But basically, it started because I told a lie.

I told him I wasnt going to attack... and then I did.

He feels I abused our friendship.
I blamed it on my GoW upbringing.

And then the game ended in controversial circumstances. I used a ship chaining to attack his city with marines. He feels this was an exploit.

The game ended with a huge modern age (Modern Armor & Mechanised Infantry) war. One that he was winning against me, until I pulled off the ship chain.

15 months of PBEM... and it ended very bitterly.

From reading some of his responses. He has been sharing my tactics within the Lego team. Thus, why I am considering posting some of his emails.

Personally i WOULD consider ship-chaining an exploit in a demo game of this magnitude, in fact, IIRC it has been disallowed in the PTWDG II and in the MZO C3CDG, I'm not sure if it was also banned in the C3C ISDG but since a lot of the rules in that demo game were based on the MZO game it probably has.

As per strategy, I don't think its wrong to share a strategy used by another so be my guest, of course, just posting bitter PMs isn't going to help much IMO.

I'm sorry to see your game ended up that way.

IIRC ..

It was discussed in the C3C ISDG and agreed to allow it.

And it has been discussed in the PTW ISDG and no one has spoken up against it.
(ie How to get our troops over to help CGN fight the Germans)

You will have to point me to where we agreed it was an exploit in the PTWDG II. I dont remember it being discussed.

And I am not in the MZO Demo game, so I was unaware it was specifically banned there.

And my works Mail Marshall had banned MZO as an explicit sex site, so I cant check out why it was thought an exploit in that game. It will have to wait until I am at home.

Can The Eye confirm how much of my email has Vondrack shared within the Lego forum ?

ie..should I just post Vondracks complete email to me or shall I edit them to only the important parts ?
