...... the missile attacks continued 30 minutes later with the second barrage.... again only military installtions were hit, but despite this there was collateral damge as some civillians had been forced to sleep the night in barracks where army normally slept and and the harbours were also filled with not only the navy but also a few merchant ships. unfortunalty civilain casualties occured.

"General we hear that Auldonina launched a full on misisle attack on The Hive in retaliation for their cowardly chemical attack on Tel Azan. Can you tell us soemthing about this?"

"yes well firstly, this wasnt a 'full on' attack. We could have sent the Nukes in if that is what we wanted to do. However we armed these old technology missiles, which we probably should have thrownaway along time ago after we upgraded to our new Nuclear Missiles, but to cut a long story short. We fired all our old redundant missiles, carrying a mixture of Explosives and a secret ingredient similar to the old Napalm. This mixture once set alight will burn at a tempurature high enough to melt steel and crack concrete. The explosive device is simply to make sure the Mixture spreads far and wide and if necessary the explosion can be made to occur high in the air for a larger dispersion or close to the ground before exploding to get at bunkers. We understand that a few missiles may have gone off target and we regret this, but the Hive had to be made to pay for their folly in launching Biological weopons in Azan. "

"Well satelite pictures are stil being examined but from what we undrstand, devastion in some areas is higher than in others. the naval harbour is completely on fire with half of the ships in harbour now on the bottom of the harbour. "

"When will we know civilian casualty numbers."

"We have sent some reconasonce flights over and they will report shortly"

"Are any more attacks planned?"

"Tha ti cannot answer, but i can say that I wouldnt want to be in any FCL airport in about 10 minutes time !"

OOC: Nice, but do you have any idea what it would cost to keep and maintain such an awful lot of "old redundant missiles which we probably should have thrown away a long time ago"?!?

And -- with your bases in Western Apolyton being established only recently, how come you spent billions on setting up "old redundant missiles" there??

actually that is what we gave them and told them they were modern equipment... we kept all our new ones at home and "sold" th eold ones to Western apolyton at discounted prices... but for that you get dsicount rockets....


reality is i decided at last minute not to nuke the hell out of him and play it a little softer, so decided i needed some sort of story .. sorry if my story a little abstract but you know how it goes when you typing at 3AM in the morning

The Consul walked back into his office looking tired. The Duchess of Doujin was known as a hard woman, and had evidently not been exactly forthcoming with the assistance.

"What did she say?"

The Consul sighed. "She has already leased us three transport planes, and she cannot spare the air refuellers."

"Is Alecrast at war?"

"Of course not!" The Consul threw up his hands. "But it's all about prestige here. She has to have all her equipment within reach, in case she has to trot them out and impress another baron. I tell you what . . ."

He sort of trailed off. In spite of his sarcasm, it was indeed a severe disappointment. The Karakan Air Force needed air refuellers to get its planes into the skies over Azan. Having none of their own, the Alecrastian lease option was the best - though expensive.

The Assembly, now almost three-quarters Nationalist, was expected to increase defense spending, but that would not help the Consul sway the Duchess of Doujin . . .

i think we playing he dropped some form of chemical weopon, the result isnt quite what he posted, bu the action it self is the only thing that matters....


the question now is where is the new map showing the successes we all had in this last round of attacks on him...
